Entertaining DVD
This was a gift for my mother in law, who is a big fan of Strictly Come Dancing. I thought this would keep her entertained when the series finished. After reading the reviews, I warned her that there was a lot of talking on it that some people had found boring, and to fast forward to the dances. Her feedback was positive though and she said she'd enjoyed watching it.

Fun!
Wanted something which showed various famous performances from "Strictly" from series over the many years its been on TV. This does that, and shows stuff from even the very first series. Not sure about the format, though, as there is a lot of chat between the judges (not all of it unscripted, I suspect!) and although they talk about a lot of the dancers/performances, they only show the one which they judge to be "The Best" in each instance. The best part is probably at the end, where there are a lot of old dances shown, without any comment at all. One of your favourites may be in here! You will like it if like me, you are a strong "Strictly" fan and cannot get enough ;-)

Strictly Satisfaction.
A DVD much enjoyed by my wife (a great fan of the show) and eminently suitable for those of a similar persuasion (i.e. "Strictly" fans - not other wives of mine!).The DVD covers Strictly series up to and including that of 2012 and has a "Best of the Rest" feature and another on "The Judges". (Inverted commas mine and titles inside them not exactly what they're called on the DVD.)One fault with the content of the DVD: the dances do not have the names of the pairs of dancers (or the years that the dance was performed) on screen at any time during each performance. Feel that it would have been better to have included this info. The judges say which pair has been selected as the best eaxample of each dance category for the "Best Of" feature (not the year, though) but the "Best of the Rest" feature does not even mention this.

The magic of song and dance!
its a BBC DVD! That means that it is very professional and very well presented. The dresses and costumes are so beautiful and add to the magic of the show. The music and venue also have a show stopper element. I thoroughly enjoyed watching but have one criticism - the bickering of the judges detracts from the fantasy and escapism I would have preferred. The Extra Feature "The Best of the Rest" was truly magnificent and should the whole show have been presented like this, it would have had five stars (it consisted of just the music and dance with no comments or arguing).

Too many camp comments-skip to the dancing
You have to watch too many over-the-top opinions from Len, Bruno and Craig. It would've been much better if you could cut to the dancers immediately.

Too much cha.
Three times too much chat. Too fond of the sound of their own voices, what we need is a "All the 40s" -- well 39 allowing for Craig!

Shame it didn't include more dance sequences but she still enjoyed it.
bought for mother as small gift for Christmas as she is an avid strictly fan. Absolutely loves it. If she thinks the judges are talking too much she simply speeds forward the dvd. Shame it didn't include more dance sequences but she still enjoyed it.

Had expected more and better
Not enough clips in this and a bit of a letdown. Had expected longer dance sequences from the some of the earlier seasons, but they were snippets really and we felt a bit disappointed, considering the talent and some of the celebs and pro dances in the early years (which my wife and I never watched), only having come to strictly in the last 4 years.
