Philips Avent My Natural Trainer Sippy Cup, Blue, 5oz, 1pk, SCF262/01

I bought this because my (at the time) 9 month old was constantly constipated. She was exclusively breastfed and started eating some solids at 6 months and now, at 11 months, eats a ton of solids while still being breastfed. I guess nursing didn't improve her conatipation, so our pediatrician told me to give her a lot more water. Which I never did with my first kid, but hey, every kid is different. I was nervous she would not want to nurse anymore if I gave her this bottle, but also wanted to help her learn to drink water and this seemed like the best option. She took to it okay at first. It seemed a little confusing for her. But then after offering it at every mealtime, she loves to drink water now. It's a really nice and soft silicone nipple. We have not tried the sippy cup top yet, but it's the same material. She chews on it with her four large teeth and it hasn't broken yet. The only issue is that it's slightly yellow now from the natural dyes in the pureed baby food she was eating. It does leak when you tip it upside down, which is annoying, but when I put it in the diaper bag, I make sure to keep everything upright.

I have several of these sippy cups and I don't find that they leak at all. They are a good way for the baby to transition from a bottle. My 10 month old enjoys holding onto the handles and feeding himself. I did try to use this several times between 6-8 months and noticed that the size 3 nipple was too fast for my baby at that point. By 9 months, he was fine with that nipple.

Update—For someone who is struggling with kid who refuses to use sippy cup, this is absolutely your MUST need! My kids refused all kinds of sippy cup from all kind of brands, but he takes this one with first try!!!I saw lots of reviews said the bottle didn’t come with a complete package, either missing the sprout or bottle. But mine came with everything! Hopefully this will work for my kid who hates any of sippy cup I had at home !

Over all I love the bottle and it’s handles. But when it comes to the nipple of the sippy cup I did not like it because it is as if you took a pair of scissors and just cut a hole into it!

I really love the design and the functionality of these sippy cups. They do tend to leak a little bit...which is annoying if there is milk in it. Otherwise I love the wide bottle design and the handles.

Minus one star because the nipple leaks. Other than that, it’s a great cup and I love that you can use with regular Avent bottle caps and nipples. Bought it when my son turn 6 months to drink water and he loves it.

There’s nothing quite like the joy of realizing your baby can hold their own bottle and you can keep driving. Good transition cup for gaining that independence. Handle works on all of our advent bottles, so never fear if your blue supply bottle is in the wash - you can stick the handles on your other bottles.

My son’s first sippy and since we had a bad experience with another Avent sippy, we’ll stick with these!
