the sugar itself is delicious. Great for tea/coffee or any other hot liquid you would like, however I specifically purchased this for Absinthe and after pouring directly onto sugar cube and dripping water with the proper fountain, it did not dissolve into glass. When set on fire after soaking, it still did not melt and caramelize. I believe the crystals are simply too large. Would not purchase for Absinthe again, and just a little pricey for my daily coffee.

You may think, "Wow, this tastes just like real sugar." Well, don't be surprised...it is. Using the magic of modern day manufacturing, they've taken common sugar, and turned it in to a cube. A cube made of fairly large sugar granules, bound together by sugar. You can put it in tea, coffee, your mouth, recipes, and pour cold water over it into your favorite absinthe. One box is enough for a lot of absinthe (which has been legal again in the US since 2007,) but if I ever finish the box, you can bet, I'll be buying more.

I love the brown sugar cubes but when I ordered this item listed I didn't notice that it was for the WHITE cubes. The photo shown on the order was the brown box - this would only have brown cubes! I didn't attempt to return it because I read that Amazon doesn't accept food items returned and of course, I would have to pay the return postage.

I bought these having never used sugar cubes for anything before. They did not disappoint. We used these while drinking absinthe the traditional way, and it was delicious. I've even eaten a few of the cubes like they were candy. When we need more cubes we will be sure to order again.

I love these sugars.... I was introduced to them as "french"sugar cubes, and they may be. I just know they're better than the average refined sugars we usually use. I get them in white and brown, and both my guests and I feel like we've had a real treat.

These are the best sugar cubes! We use them in our office and combine them with the brown sugar cubes and they get used up all the time. They are aesthetically pleasing too. ;o)

Used these for an absinthe event at my local historical society. They were a lovely touch and I even left the box out on the serving table as it was a nice touch of authenticity.
