Yarn Ball Winder - Swift Yarn Fiber String Ball Wool Winder Holder Hand Operated - 10.23 x 7.08inch

This little swift yarn winder works wonderful. It really does the job. I'm so glad I didn't spend $40 or $50 on one that does the same thing. It's for a yarn project so its not going to be used for a long period of time. It is more then worth the money they ask for it. I did need to use tape to hold the yarn guide in place, and now it works like a little champ.

It works well on about a 100 gram skein. You can't do a 4 ounce skein with it. Watch out for the yarn guide, it will fall down as you use it. If you're careful, it will wind a beautiful cake for you.

Cheap cheap cheap. No matter what I did to wind my yarn and it did not work at all. I had to cut my yarn to get it out of the gear mechanism. Poorly made. Sent back the next day

This is very handy and the cakes come out very nice. I like to put toilet paper tubes on the shaft before I wind the yarn.. (cut a small slit) It keeps the yarn from caving into the center when it's removed from the winder. It also helps for stacking and provides a place to stash the label!

Every ball I've winded the yarn gets stuck in the bottom and it's really hard to unclog. Maybe it's not made for super chunky yarns.

This yarn winder has been working perfectly for me. I'm no professional but I can tell this winder wouldn't be good for a business owner or someone that will need it for heavy use. However for the occasional use like mine, it's perfect.

Bought this for my wife.She tells me that the yarn gets hung some times and she needs something that will ball more yarn otherwise it's very good.

It was really easy to put together. I had watched a video on how to use it, so that wasn't a problem.The metal loop section would not stay in a locked position so I had to hold it in between that and the section that winds the yarn.Overall, it works ok but it does not hold a normal size skein of yarn, only small skiens.

Wish i had bought this sooner. Its so great for turning all my skeins into cakes which makes everything neater and easier to store. I do have a small issue with the metal yarn guide not staying in place but i just wedge a little piece of cardboard in and its fine. A tip though: dont go too fast and dont make cakes too big or the yarn will slip off the side of cake and get caught in the gears.

Been knitting for 40 yrs + wished I had one yrs ago. My yarn cakes are adorable and I can see what my scrap yarns are looking like. Tidies up my yarn stash nicely.
