It's not available anymore.
It was great. It !ightened my dark brown hair to light honey blonde. It is now discontinued like every other hair color that is "high lift" without bleach. Damn you, Revlon. No, "Golden Blonde" is not the same. Too dark. I bought all I could find though, so too bad, colorists that want to "bleach and tone" for $150. Never again. Smelled good too.

Excellent for dark hair
If you have dark hair, and you want red hair, this is definitely the dye for you. My hair is naturally dark brown, and it pulls it better than any other box dye I’ve tried. And I have tried them all. Does not have pink undertone, is more of a copper undertone.

Great for brunettes to lighten up!
I'm a brunette with much grey coming in. I've always used regular Colorsilk from a box store since I have very short hair and have to color often--I've tried more expensive colors and they don't last any longer than Revlon Colorsilk. I discovered this formula, especially for lightening darker hair. The honey blonde was PERFECT. After getting hooked on it, it is either not available or over twice the price it was--not going to pay that! So sadly, I guess I'll have to find another brand/color. :-(

Ammonia free, great price.
I have bought this revlon Luminista hair color in dark brown from target and Walmart before many times. But for a long time it is not available. This is a good price under $4. At other stores I was paying $5. I like revlon hair color for early gray coverage. My original hair color is black but I have 85% of my hairs gray. I have been dying hairs since early twenties. I started with revlon color silk. I also use L’Oréal excellence or revlon butter hair color. Garnier and Other brand make my hair look orange when I use light brown, medium brown, chocolate brown , dark golden brown type colors. L’Oréal and revlon work good on me. All I need is gray covered and some brown in my hairs , black looks little harsh as I am aging. Revlon hair colors are ammonia free, L’Oréal are not. I do make sure to get hair color on sale $6 or under. This chocolate brown color covers gray and also give me some brown and if I keep using this one every time and do not switch color it looks very nice as it builds. I do have a lot of gray and it covers nicely. I do not color all hairs just roots and whole scalp not on the length.I will recommend if you have gray and want some brown without looking orange.Price is great, it is ammonia free.Tip: works awesome when hairs are really dirty, less damage and somehow color stays good.Color: Dark chocolate brown.Con: not available in the store.

easy application and a stunning outcome
I ordered Violet Black, it's user-friendly hair dye that delivers impressive results. The application process is straightforward, and the vibrant shade of violet blended with black creates a striking effect. The color distribution is even, and the included nourishing conditioner leaves the hair feeling smooth and soft. While pre-lightening may be necessary for lighter or previously dyed hair, this dye is an excellent choice for those seeking a bold and vibrant look.Overall, Revlon Colorsilk Luminista Haircolor in Violet Black offers easy application and a stunning outcome, making it a fantastic choice for transforming your hair.

Doesn't cover grey
The color is not the one I was looking for. Not as honey as expected. Secondly, I Followed directions for grey coverage and it did not cover grey. So if you are looking to do that this product doesn't deliver.

Love!
Even though this line is mostly marketed toward people with naturally dark colored hair wishing to go lighter, it works great if your hair is light and you're going darker too. I've been dying my hair since I was 14. I'm naturally a medium-dark blonde, and I've dyed my hair many colors with many products, though i've most consistently gone lighter blonde often with streaks of blues, pinks, reds, etc. Anyway, about a year ago, I decided that I wanted a change and keeping up with roots with lighter blonde was getting to be a huge pain especially since i'm 24 and already getting gray tones. I began dying my hair deep reds and i'm absolutely in love with being a red-head now. I've most often used Revlon dyes for my natural colors (not the blues and pinks). However, I couldn't find a shade of red in Revlon that I liked at the stores around where I live. So, I tried a few brands with caution because i have very sensitive skin and also mild psoriasis, but I had some horrible reactions to the other brands. My mom (who does my hair) mentioned that it was probably because Revlon is Ammonia free and the other brands were not. So knowing that my reaction to Revlon has always been very minimal, just an itchy spot where I get a psoriasis flair up on my neck, I took to the web to see if i could find a pretty shade of red in Revlon. I found this and figured why not, even though this is for darker hair. I dyed it over a deep red shade of Garnier that had faded significantly and It looks gorgeous! The conditioner smells amazing and does a great job, like Revlon always does!
