Spectrastone Shallow Creek Pebble for Freshwater Aquariums, 25-Pound Bag

The pebbles are bigger than I expected, a lot bigger than the typical 5lb bags of tiny rocks. These are real pebbles. I like that they're natural though. Looks like different color variations in there to which is cool. I gave 4 stars because of the size of the pebbles surprised me and wasn't what I was expecting. They'll work just fine though just not my number 1 choice of size.

So not specific to this pebble, but wow, adding gravel and putting a simple pump clears the water better than anything I've seen. No fancy additives required for the water. My biggest regret in regards to this -- not taking before and after pictures! (And not doing it sooner)The product itself was packaged in thicker than average plastic, and I received it fully exposed (no boxing). The package arrived undamaged and no pebbles were lost in transit, but that's a pretty risky way to ship a back of pebbles!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased 2 25lb bags for a 50 gallon container pond. They worked out perfect. Since I plan on adding more plants, I might purchase 1 more bag.

I hate washing stones, pebble, rocks for my aquarium. I have a 20 gal. long and wanted to do something different besides the colored rocks. When I received these stone I started washing them and noticed there was very little washing to do. There are a lot of different colored stones. I love the variation. I recommend this product.

We have a 65 gallon tank with an undergravel filter and a powerhead. My tank took about 2.5 bags of pebbles to completely cover the filter and bubblewand. No problems with clogging or gravel getting in the powerheads either. The rock is nice enough of a size so that you won't have an issue. Also love the natural colors, gives the tank a nice look.

Perfect description. Excellent for a 20 gallon tank. Make sure to thoroughly wash them.

We bought these for our koi tank we where going with a Asian theme as Koi are Asian fish. The picture made them look darker then they are in person. They where actually a lot lighter. The size and everything was great. I like them. Just wish the picture did a better job showing the actual colors of the rocks.

Works okay. Wish it was a bit smaller.
