Peace of mind
Works well- really helps knowing where our dogs are. We live in a very wooded area and being able to see in real time where they are whether day or night is fantastic. We have a large pond which they are neck deep a lot in water and so far no problems with moisture. The rubber strap that holds it on tho broke quite quickly - I wish they sent extras of those instead of having to pay $10 for two replacements. I also wish with two dogs we didn’t have to pay full amount for the second one on the yearly fee. It’s nice that my wife and I can both see where the dogs are regardless of where we are.I have had a couple notices that they left the virtual fence when we are gone and the dogs are home in the house. That is a little worrisome- I don’t know why that happens.

Amazing!
So far, amazing! There are so many nice functions and I much safer now. The battery lasts for 2 weeks the first time, but that's because I hadn't added the save battery mode - it allows you to asd save battery mode while connected to a specific wifi, so while we are home, it's on save mode. It's definitely a little big for small dogs, but I don't think this should change de 5 star review... But it's definitely a good suggestion to try and make a smaller one for small dogs.

Seems to be exactly as advertised after the 1st 10 days
My Shih-Tzu has been wearing the Tractive now for10 days and I could not be happier with the product. She is 10 lbs. and doesn’t mind it at all. We do take her collar off for bed. Setting up the virtual fence was easy and every time she leaves the safe area text alerts are sent to our phones in a minute or two. The gps is extremely accurate to within 15 or 20’. Battery life is at 45% after her first 10 days of continuous use without being turn off. We olive in a suburban area but will be using it soon in a heavily wooded area and am optimistic that it will work just as well.

Not Worth It – Bulky, Delayed Alerts, and Hidden Costs
I had high hopes for this tracker, but it was a complete letdown. First off, it’s way too bulky and uncomfortable for my dog to wear—he kept trying to shake it off. The virtual fencing feature is practically useless. The "safe zone" is so large that by the time you get a notification, your dog could already be halfway across the neighborhood.BE AWARE You have to pay a $120+ subscription upfront just to be able to use the app—without it, the tracker is basically a paperweight- so by the time you know it's not good, your money is gone already. This should’ve been clearly stated in the listing. Overall, it’s overpriced, impractical, and misleading. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Good Tracker Device
It works very well with tracking. I would give 5 stars, but the only reason I am giving 4, is that the battery life lasts about 2 1/2 days..sometimes not that long. Wish it lasted longer

Tracker works great!
Works great! I’m able to track our dog when he’s out for a walk. It is very accurate, close to real time, and the battery lasts a long time. It also keeps track of the dogs health, including activity and sleeping. I highly recommend this GPS tracker for dogs.

Great customer service
After losing my little angel, Enna, to congestive heart failure, my daughter insisted I adopt a new companion. I knew nearly nothing about her and named her Buttercup. She was starved for attention. I live on the edge of a National Forest. I'm surrounded by trees. I quickly learned Buttercup liked to explore. She might be small, but she's fearless and aggressive towards anything on four legs - dogs, squirrels, possums, deer, even horses. I hoped the Tractive GPS tracker would allow me to set up virtual fences and keep track of her wanderings. I much effort in making the tracker work, I gave up. Because the trees prevent use of GPS and there are no cell towers in my area (my cell phone works over wi-fi). I contacted the Tractive customer service, and we discussed my situation. They were wonderful and refunded my one-year subscription to their service. I still had paid for the device itself, but I can sell or give it to someone else. Five stars for customer service.

Awesome dog tracker to see exactly where he is
I love our Tractive. Our dog manages to sneak out of our fence constantly. But Tractive has made it not a concern. I get a Notification every time he exits our fence because I used the app to create No Go zones. And when he gets out, I just turn on Live Tracking and watch his exact path as he moves around to our neighbors houses. No more searching for him at all. Plus I can turn on the light on the device remotely when it is dark to see him, and can cause it to make a sound (though it is pretty quiet). It is easy to use. Worked right out of the box - just a subscription - $5 a month. Stays charged for a good week or so. Uses micro USB to charge. Charges quickly. Also it is fun to look at the wellness and sleep tracker. And there is a bark monitor. Also a cute leaderboard of other dogs nearby. Wish the live tracking could be turned on when he is in our yard in the safe zone so I could quickly find him but maybe feature they’ll add.
