These arrived a bit early, which is good. They do the job and will store 4 AA or AAA cells in each case. The cases "can be" latched together. I am not sure that I would do that, but they arrived that way so that one knows it can be done.They do a good job of the rechargeable batteries in "sets of 4" and not rattling around in the bottom of a bag. Keeping track of rechargeables is a bit of a PITA. These will help a lot.
