We have been giving this to one of our senior cats over the past few weeks now. He is starting to have cleaner, more silky fur again, less tearing of the eyes and overall better alertness. It seems to be doing him some good. I have been mixing into a lickable treat along with a powdered probiotic supplement for about the same time.

Our 10 year old Cat Oscar was diagnosed with CKD and Hyperthyroid in late October /22. He had shown signs of illness, weight loss and excessive drinking water and we knew something wasn't right with him. We were very concerned about his health and took him to the Vet for a checkup. The blood work showed very high levels Creatine, Bun, Urea, Hypothyroid etc. The Vet wanted to put him down that same day. She claimed he was untreatable and had stage 4 CKD and In combination with hyperthyroid there was nothing that could to be done for him. I started researching all about CKD+ hyperthyroid illnesses. It turns out that it is very common in older cats to have both illnesses at the same time. We were determined to save our beloved cat. We started him on a strict wet food-renal diet only, (no more kibble) with extra fluids in the food and mixed in with Epakitine - phosphate binder+ supplements like Omega 3 krill, probiotics, beef liver powder for his anemia. Zink on a daily basis. We also got a Second Opinion and changed our Vet. We found a great clinic where they actually wanted to help us to find a solution to Oscars illnesses and save his life. ( 01-12-23) The new Vet did blood work on Oscar and this time it showed the Creatine, Bun and Urea had come down a lot, but I knew in order for his health/ kidney function to improve even more he needed Kidney Support Gold. ( had already read all about the product) Since 14 Feb/23 he has now been on Kidney Gold, 4 drops morning + night in his renal wet food. He showed improvement in appetite and had more energy within days. He comes out for daily walks in the forest with us and is looking very well now. He sleeps through the night now, and the night howling has stopped completely. The excessive drinking has also stopped. His latest blood test at the Vet was last week. 03-07-23 The lab work had improved so much in a short period of time. Urea: 20. Down from 28.3. Creatine: 141. Down from 180. Phos: 1.53. Down from 3.6 Bun: 35. Down from 44. He is doing so well on these drops! It was vital for us to get his kidney levels down as he would otherwise not be a candidate for the Radio Iodine Treatment he is getting next month. But, the Vet approved him for the treatment thanks to his improved Kidney levels. We are extremely happy for these amazing results. We know he will have to take Kidney Gold and Epakitin for the rest of his life to control his kidney disease, but he likes the taste of the drops, they are easy to give in his food and they work wonders! My 17 yo cat had early signs of kidney disease a few years ago and has issues with crystals in her urine as she’s aged. She is also long haired and often has an upset stomach and hairballs, causing her not to want to eat. After changing her diet and deciding to keep her hair trimmed, I decided to also give this a try. It smells oddly of celery but I don’t have any issues giving it to her orally. She won’t touch food if I mix it in. In the directions it specifically says to give with food because it can cause a gag reflex and vomiting so I do it right after she eats breakfast. About a week after beginning, I noticed reduced peeing outside of the litter box and more of an appetite. The one day we missed was a day she clearly had an upset stomach. That day she also urinated outside of the litter box. The next day when she was eating again I started back up with this and no urinating since. I suppose that’s why it’s 4 stars and not 5. I need to use it longer to actually tell if it’s working or was just a fluke, but so far I feel good about it.

One of my senior cats (18 yrs) tested on the border line of having stage 1 kidney disease. He does not have it yet--but almost. He is also extremely fat, diabetic, and arthritic despite our extremely diligent efforts to encourage movement and dietary control. Kidney health wasn't even on our radar until we lost our 23 year old female in May to kidney failure. It came on fast in combination with cancer. Had I known about this product sooner, I would have had her on Kidney support gold long ago. I miss her terribly, but she did have a very good and long life over flowing with love. We take animal care seriously and she got excellent care but it was her time. When we lost her we were so upset we had all our pets in for blood work to see where their kidney health was as well as looking for various other conditions and now we will test them once to twice a year to track health in addition to the usual vet visits they get in plethora. I then printed out the ingredient list and took it to my vet to look at to be sure it was safe for diabetes and arthritis and she said it was fine to give a try. So I did. I started carefully. I only gave my cat a few drops once a day along with his zobaline and cosequin (daily supplements I give him anyway). And then I waited and watched closely for any reaction. He responded normally and even his blood sugar was good. As days passed I gradually stepped up the dosage until I had enough for his full weight. I am pleased to report that he has drastically improved in his personality, mobility, his coat is even more smooth and shines way more. His eyes are bright. His blood sugar is STABLE despite being on the renal diet that isn't so great for diabetic cats (he still gets insulin every day mind you) and his urine output is that of a normal cat now when it was a bit on the hefty side but not dangerously so. I am looking forward to following up on his blood work to see if his kidney function has good numbers or hopefully stayed the same at the very least. I have been giving him zobaline and cosequin for over a year but the real improvement to his mobility and being more alert and more himself came when I added in the renal diet and the kidney support gold. I am so relieved there was an option for us that gives us hope and that our boy has responded so well with despite being elderly and diabetic. ***UPDATE: Here we are in November of 2018 and my cat on this product felt lighter and wasn't eating as much. I panicked because I was sure we had reached the tipping point on him entering kidney disease because weight loss and loss of appetite are symptoms. Our vet agreed it was concerning because he had lost weight so she ran the blood work on him again. It was a hard 24 hours of waiting for results but my concern was not necessary. His kidney function numbers had reversed. He is now solidly within middle range and no longer at the very cut off for starting kidney disease. She also ran an A1C test on him because having a cat on the kidney diet food is not really great for diabetics but his A1C was that of a young healthy cat without diabetes. His body is regulating itself thanks to this tincture, the K/D diet (and royal canin's as well--I switch around to keep him interested), cosequin, zobaline, and I just recently (but after the blood work was done) added in Nordic Naturals fish oil which has increased his mobility even more. He is getting stronger and is full of spirit and trickery. I am deeply pleased and thankful. Giving him a more comfortable senior time is what I want for him. Our vet diagnosed our 16 cat with early kidney disease and suggested putting her on a prescription kidney friendly diet. she really doesn’t like dry kibble, so I bought a bunch of canned Prescription cat food. She’s been really fussing in the past about eating stuff like this, but she actually likes it so I’m not going to complain. So she’s been eating more but she was sleeping so much. We were getting really worried about her and she was drinking a lot of water so we decided to buy this pet well-being kidney support gold. Instead of putting it in her food, we got it directly into her mouth. She wasn’t too thrilled, but she didn’t really fight us too much so maybe she knew that she needed something. After using it for like only three days she’s doing much better. She’s actually got her appetite back. She is moving more and she’s not sleeping constantly. She actually comes when we announce dinner time for about a week. She was like sleeping about most of the time. And I know that cats sleep 21 hours a day, but she was sleeping about 23 1/2 hours a day. So we’re very pleased with this product and glad that we decided to try it.

I ordered this feeling that my 16 year old cat with kidney disease was a week or less away from euthanasia as he had stopped eating except for a tiny bit which wasn't enough to keep him alive. This arrived quickly, and after getting the first drops, he started eating again. I've never seen anything like it. His appetite got better and better, and he has, one month later, gained some weight and looks like a normal cat again. His vomiting frequency has been cut by about 75%, and he's had enough energy to wander around in my fenced back yard on nice days. I couldn't be more pleased! Although the ingredients are quality and I trust the company, my cat just hates it. Just plain boo. I can give him meds he doesn’t like but this is in liquid form and there is no way to disguise it. One sniff and he walks away. When I try it straight, he gags.

I've been thinking every day that I should review this product in case it would help someone else. I have an 18 year old cat that was starting to go downhill. He is NOT the kind of cat that will go to the vet. He's very affectionate but only on his terms. I noticed he was losing weight and his fur was changing texture. Ita been a great addition to my cats routine for CKD

On October 1, 2020, our cat was diagnosed with renal failure. The following day, after 24 hours of I.V. fluids, his bloodwork showed some improvement, but on October 6, two days after being off I.V. and even with aggressive daily subcutaneous fluid therapy at home, his levels again increased. The next couple of weeks we persevered with daily S.Q. fluids, appetite stimulants, anti-nausea medication, and a plethora of different foods. We tried different forms of phosphorus binders, but he refused them all, so we lost that advantage. Sadly, things were looking dire, so I searched for any alternatives and found Kidney Support Gold. Within one week of starting him on it, he was eating much better, he groomed and played and began to do some of the things he used to do before his diagnosis. Within three weeks, he seemed to be feeling so much better and was essentially back to his crazy, wonderful old cat self. On November 14, three weeks after starting Kidney Support Gold, follow-up bloodwork showed a dramatic decrease in his Creatinine and B.U.N. levels and his Phosphorus has returned to normal, without the use of phosphorus binders. Amazing. We continue to give 100 ml S.Q. fluids every other day, but have been able to discontinue all other medications and he continues to do well. We couldn't be happier. The product instructions say to give 1 drop per kg twice daily. 5 drops = 0.25 ml. It is bacon flavoured and my cat's not crazy about it, but it hides well in fishy canned foods or tuna, so we've had no issues with him eating it. We plan on doing bloodwork again in a month or so, so I hope to update at that time. October 15, 2023 Update: So pleased to report that our boy is still thriving 3 years post diagnosis. He is still eating well and playful. He has lost 1 kg slowly over the years, but thankfully we started this jouney with an 8.5 kg cat, so his figure hasn't changed much. Bloodwork done three days ago showed; SDMA 18, Creat 328, BUN 24.2. We had to back off on the SQ fluids after a while as it became too hard on him and our bond was being broken. I can't even express how happy I am that my sweet boy is still with us 3 years later and I truly believe that this product has played a big part in that.

Well packaged to prevent leaks. I was surprised how small the bottle is for that price but hopefully it’s worth it. So far my very picky cat loves the taste of it and was hunting for more after. It doesn’t smell too strong which is good. It’s very easy to use with the dropper compared to other products where you have to wash the measuring lid out after. Instructions say to use 4 drops for the weight of my cat so hopefully the bottle lasts a good amount of time. I will update this review further into use to report back on its effectiveness on health. My cat has early stages of kidney failure so I’m hoping this will improve his health.

traitement insuffisance rénale chronique de mon chat, en complément du traitement allopathique du vétérinaire ,de plasma de quinton, de luminothérapie. il a 17 ans et se porte très bien malgré sa pathologie (car en plus de l'insuffisance rénale, hypertension et hyperthyroidie, plus un peu d'anémie). il a eu aussi beaucoup de remèdes Beljanski et du viscum en sous cutané.ainsi que des perfusions sous cutanées aussi de plasma de quinton isotonique que je lui fais s'il se déshydrate du fait de son insuffisance rénale mais surtout cet été avec la canicule. le pet wellbeing a contribué à son amélioration. je vais lui refaire une urée créatinine pour vérifier de son efficacité.

I like this product. My cat likes the flavour. I believe it to be beneficial. No nausea or diarhea.
