Easy way to check that a firearm is safe. Simple easy to use and cheap. Can’t say anything bad about them.

Required safety for firearms
These little plastic things are actually required at some ranges. They are convenient and easy to use. But... (there's always a but)sometimes you will need to trim or snip off end to properly insert into barrel. Once inserted into barrel the flag essentially performs 4 functions (1) It shows you and others that the firearm's chamber is empty. (2) It is easy to spot from a distance (3) It keeps the slide or bolt partially open until safety flag is removed. (4) It is a good safety mechanism since it reduces the chance of an accident to zero. The only reason it gets four instead of five stars is that some trimming or cutting may be required. Still worth having in your bag. Recommended. Please continue to observe all the other safety rules and recommendations whenever handling firearms. This little gadget is just an add-on to all the other elements that involve firearm safety.

Works well for .30 caliber rifles
I use these for a .30 caliber style firearm. They fit the breech in a way that says they're seated, but not jammed in. These are great for having in the rifle as you move to and from the bench at the range. The yellow tag definitely indicates the firearm is unloaded. A caution: on semis, you can't let the bolt slam home once the flag is in place, gently allow the bolt home. Not that I know anyone who would do this, but you never know. Second, when the firearm is rested during a cease fire at the bench, the flag is a little small to be seen, especially if the rifle is rested on its side and facing away from you (even though you can flip the flag to either side of the stock.) That said, with one of these in the breech while the firearm is being moved, it satisfies compliance with many state's rules on firearms transport. Another thing I noticed is how well the forward end fits to the bolt face when the bolt rests on it. Whether by design or by accident, it provides a positive seat to the bolt when it isn't fully closed. Caution though. Safety the trigger as you don't want the firing pin to release fighting the plastic and the forward pressure of the bolt. Your own firearm may be different.

Bright orange and fit.
Easy to review something that has a simple task. These flags fit all my guns (and I have some odd ones), they are strong ( dropped action on them a few times), and they are bright.

Solid
The buttpad fits well, but must be pre-drilled to fit the top screw. As others have said the screws will screw directly into the polymer, as such care must be taken when attaching. The pad is very dense and of good quality, though that density is the only reason this product doesn't get a full five stars from me... While it provides a good buffer between the stock and the shoulder, it is somewhat uncomfortable at first to shoulder.I would recommend this to anyone who has an m93 or f93 without a butt stock pad.

Too long to fit in a. 22 cal rifle ...
Too long to fit in a .22 cal rifle chamber. By cutting the end off and shaving it down, it works okay for my purposes.

I like how these are big
I teach younger folks how to shoot and my biggest concern is safe handling of firearms. I am VERY strict about chamber flags and keeping weapons pointed in the right direction. I like how these are big, visible, and low cost. The quality is pretty nice too - thick molding and I think it's a nice still HDPE or PVC.

Chamber flags
Great little aid to the RSO's. Small and easy to keep in your pocket or beside your rifle when not blocking the chamber. Bright yellow, solid plastic. Fits well enough in my rifles. I haven't tried nor do I think this will fit into a rimfire chamber.

Not the best I've purchased.
Thees at not fat enough as they fall out of my bolt action 7.62 Rifle when upright in its gun safe.
