For a company wishing to gain market share for their product, a well made quality product at a competitive price is how you do it. This shower filter so far is delivering in spades on that strategy. In the couple weeks or so I've had it installed, it has performed well with good water pressure, even if perhaps slightly reduced from the unfiltered shower head pressure. It is sturdy and very well made, with well sealed leak free connections. Oh, and it also filters well, removing the harsh and irritating chemicals and their smell from our crap quality public utility water supply. At this point, it remains to be seen how well it continues to perform long term. The previous two shower filters I've ordered in the last year hasn't made the cut. There is a scan code in the included product guide/instructions that can be used to order one free replacement filter, which I have done, and the spare filter is currently on its way to me. Though be prepared for an email asking for confirmation of the order, which is no big deal, I just replied with a screenshot of the Amazon order. I think the issue may be that the company's internal order number may be different from the Amazon order number. Again, this is no problem and no issue, just something to be prepared for which may or may not happen to everybody. For those of you who may be thinking of ordering this item, just drop the hammer and do it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We’ve noticed the high content of salt in our water and wanted to find a way to filter them out. Though this filter is extremely bulky, it does get the job done. I will admit that it has slowed down the water flow a little bit, but it’s something I’m willing to deal with in order to have softer water.

I feel like I can tell a difference in the water quality in my shower. My shampoo lathers much more, and I am using less product actually. I installed this myself in about 10 minutes, it was so simple. It comes with a little roll of teflon tape, as well as very clear installation instructions. Make sure you do read those directions and flush water through the filter for a few minutes after attaching because you will see black dust come out, which is completely normal for this kind of filter. I do have a detachable shower head and we have had no problems. Water pressure seems to be unchanged from baseline. The filter has some weight to it and the chrome look makes it seem more expensive than it is. I do feel this is an incredible value for the price point. Only having to change the filter twice per year is a definite plus and savings as well. We've had this installed for 2.5 weeks, and I don't notice any change in my skin at this point, but I'm optimistic.

I love this Sparkle shower filter. I used to use shower filters years ago but stopped for some reason or another, so I had forgotten how much nicer the water, my hair and skin feels when using one. We have hard water that left my hair feeling rough and dry, so I had to use a lot more conditioner before putting this on. This unit feels substantial but not too heavy. It was easy to put on and they included plumber's tape that sealed well so there are no leaks but there's a noticeable loss in pressure that I knew would be a trade-off with these small shower filters. Fortunately, we had good water pressure before, so it wasn't bad in relation to the benefits gained.

So this is a shower water filter and I really think that every home should have this. I've been using it for a while now several years. And originally hard water and itchy skin was the reason why. But it's time went on I realized it there's a number of pollutants that come through the shower including lead, cadmium, arsenic, mold and other pollutants and toxins that I just don't need on my skin. Anyone looking to improve the quality of their water as well as ease up on the harsh effects of chlorine and so forth on their skin and hair would be wise to get one of these. The water at my house is awful. It leaves rust stains in my shower and was causing me to have dry skin and hair. This seemed an easy, inexpensive way to hopefully remedy some of that. It was very easy to install (make sure to use the plumber's tape!) with my dual shower head setup and has made a world of difference! The water feels and smells so much better and I definitely feel cleaner after each shower. I'm not having to constantly clean hard water stains from my shower anymore either. So it definitely works great in my case. One thing to note is that since it uses activated charcoal, make sure to run your shower for a few seconds before using it for the first time after installing, because it will spit out grey water until the excess charcoal dust is flushed out.

I have sensitive skin and hard water at my house. I decided to give this shower filter a try to see if it would help before spending thousands on a whole house filter. Install was super easy, unscrew your shower head and screw this filter on between the shower head and the wall. The housing is made of plastic so don't tighten it up too much. It does come with some teflon tape to seal the threads while installing. The filter is re-fillable. I am hopeful that this will help with dry skin and irritants.

This is a rather large filter that was easy to install on my existing shower arm. It came with all the materials to ensure easy installation. The hardest part was getting my old showerhead off. It doesn’t seem to deter the flow of water. It is intended to filter out the impurities in the water. I can’t tell for sure whether it really works as a filter or not. The benefits advertised have not been apparent but I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt. At least there doesn’t seem to be any detrimental effects. It looks like this has to be changed out about every six months so it remains to be seen how cost effective this add on is.
