i only read to chapter 5 as I found it very depressing.

Loved this book, very funny and touching!

This book is very cleverly written, it flows, it's translated but doesn't appear so- the names are unusual as its Finnish.I thought it would be a murder mystery- it's not really at all, it's the tale of abuse at an old people's home, as such it's so so sad, and yet the main characters are strong and some of what they say makes you laugh out loud.I wouldn't have chosen it is I had known more detail (it doesn't feel like detective agency) but it was an engrossing read, I was a little disappointed that the and, although came to a conclusion seemed to not give real satisfaction -will leave you to make of it what you will, don't want to give away too much.

Certainly not a detective story, More about old age and the difficulties and issues of that.There is also a dark streak running through the book about cruelty and abuse which I didn't find enjoyable.I felt the whole book misrepresented Itself, definitely not "The Finnish Miss Marple"I won't be reading any more by this author or any others in this series!
