Smells a little like pepper. Oh, you don't get bit.
Bottom Line Tip: Buy it. I am not partial to the company. I paid what I thought was entirely too much for mosquito protection that doesn't melt plastic wristbands like DEET products do.The Real Tip: I have godfathered more than 6 billion estimated mosquitos this summer alone through very solicited blood donations from very hungry mosquitos across three continents. I am the handsomest male mammal alive according to the mosquito ladies looking for a good blood provider for the eggs they need to lay. Other people walk out of house, but I am the first one mosquitos love. West Nile is not a threat, it is a promise. The Keeping It Realer Tip: This product works. Period. I was bite-free "all night" (4 hours) for the first time in years tonight. My ladies were swarming. I know my ladies get agitated when they can smell egg support. I cannot say with 100% certainty this worked better than DEET because this sort of control experiment is impossible. I just know that I have no business being mosquito bite-free right now. DEET has never been effective for more than 2 hours for me. This is probably user error, but I used this product in the same way I use DEET (lathered up). I was in enough shock to write a review. The Mosquito-Whisperer Tip: The product promises a bunch of minutes mosquito-free. Take their word for it at your own risk, but for about 240 minutes, I was not scratching anything and I was wearing shorts and and a short-sleeve polo with no socks or shoes. Zero bites tonight. I should have half-fathered about 150 million mosquito eggs in that time through blood donations. I got 7 bites in less than 4 minutes in July with a DEET product. Originally, I had only been aware of 5 of those blood donations, but my wife unhelpfully pointed out that I had another two on my face. She had none on her. I was glistening in DEET.Don't Put That In Me! Tip: The no-smell version smells like pepper. Don't believe the manufacturer's claim. You do have to put your nose up to your skin and sniff hard to smell it, but it is there when you sniff for it. If you are on that date when you know it is going to happen, and that happening involves smelling skin hard for various reasons, then don't spray for mosquitos with this product. Don't spray for mosquitos at all.

No more no-see-ums
I live in Florida and nothing ever worked to keep away the no-see-ums. On the news they talked about how bad the no-see-ums were and said to get an insect repellent that says it’s for biting flies. I googled it and found that picaridin insect repellent is for biting flies. Everything in the stores contains deet, not picaridin. This stuff is a miracle. I work outside at the beach. I put this stuff on at sunset when the no-see-ums come out and I do not get bit anymore. It’s a miracle spray. If you’re looking for something for no-see-ums I highly recommend this spray. It also works for mosquitoes and other insects, but my personal concern was the no-see-ums because literally nothing else worked.

Exelent mosquito repellent
Yes, I used it during my trip to Vietnam last month, and it was definitely worth it. Despite being someone who usually attracts mosquitoes, I didn’t get bitten at all. I strongly recommend this product to everyone👍

Worked great in Amazon Rainforest - Insects don't like it
I was pleasantly surprised how well this Ranger Ready Picaridin based product worked (20%). I was on a cruise up the Amazon River to Manaus and the cruise stopped in three ports, plus I spent an extra 3 days in Manaus on my own. I was there in mid-March which is still rainy season. Frankly, the bugs weren't bad at all, which was another surprise, but I always sprayed myself with Ranger Ready before going on hikes or boat rides up the various rivers. And I was amazed at how well it worked - bugs, especially mosquitos which worried me, never got close to me. There is something in the ingredients that simply repel them. The product is super easy to use, especially with this pump spray applicator bottle. And you don't have to over apply and the instructions are clear on that. With the intense sun, I applied sun screen first (as instructed), waited about 15 min then sprayed the Ranger Ready directly on skin. And with this applicator, it only took a couple minutes to apply. And for face and neck, apply to palms of hands and then to face and neck areas and that works well. I never had issues with skin irritation anywhere including the face. It is not oily or greasy feeling at all and dries in a few minutes leaving very minimal residue. I also applied to my hat directly and on socks and shoes for good measure, and never had an issue with any stains or damage to the clothing, and I was wearing the breathable synthetic fabrics which are more likely to damage I think. I am also heavily into photography with professional gear and always worry about damage to camera grips, etc. with some products. This Picaridin does not damage plastics or metals at all. And since it basically dries to the skin, there is minimal transfer of repellant to surfaces anyway. And another plus is the smell/odor. It is actually a fairly pleasant smell except to bugs. Kinda has a peppery scent, which should be of no surprise I guess since it is somehow a derivative of a pepper plant as I recall.I highly recommend this product.
