I should have done my homework!! I bought this product because I was under the impressionThat the Apple dongle was really expensive , ya know, people I know told me Apple is just trying to rip us off with accessories, gouge it’s customers, etc.……( I never checked on its price!) .So I paid $13 for this product and it doesn’t work right.... it’s really glitchy.....So I finally said OK I’ll go to Apple and pay their outrageous price for the Apple dongle. To my surprise it was $9 ! It works perfectly of courseOh well.... I should’ve done my homework....... so don’t be like me............I was a dufus!!

Literature on packaging states to turn your phone on and off prior to using, which I thought was strange. After following the instructions I plugged in the adapter and then plug my headphones. I listen to my favorite podcast successfully .And then I tempted to make a phone call with official Apple earbuds. The adapter was unable to facilitate a phone call. I know that my earbuds work because I have an apple dongle that works just fine.If you only want to listen to music I recommend this product. If you want to make phone calls don’t buy this product.

Worked fine for 3 days, then stopped. The pin came loose in the housing and now wobbles back and forth when plugged in. Poor poor product quality. I’ll try to return. If this is what the cheap ones are like, I will likely get an authorized apple version despite the cost.

I bought this last year and for the price I thought this was gonna make it, but sadly it didn’t, audio quality is really bad and it doesn’t support any microphones, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, I just realized how bad this is after plugging a legit apple dongle, seriously anyone shouldn’t buy this dongle.

Right out of the box, or rather zip-seal bag, this adapter didn't work as it should have.The audio quality was grainy if I was lucky, and if I'm wasn't, I got no audio at all. The only way I achieved a clear sound was by leveraging the lightning port end at an angle, and that only holds connection for a 15-20 second duration. My device does not have this issue with any other lightning cables.TlDr; I would not recommend this adapter unless you want a tool with an Unpredictable and Unstable connection.

I got what I paid for, I guess. When using the connector, the sound takes a few moments to go from my iPhone speakers to my headphones. The Apple manufactured version does not have this delay. Once placed in my pocket the connection will fail, pausing my audio content automatically. Finally, it took all of 3 days before the metal bit bent under the slightest of pressure when being removed from my pocket. Do yourself a favor, purchase the Apple version.

Very disappointed in this purchase. I bought it so I could have a hands free way to talk in the phone but when I would answer the phone it wouldn’t come through the head phones only through the normal ear piece or my phone. I’ve only used it for less than 2 weeks to listen to podcasts and music and unless I hold it just right it won’t play anything. And if the cord is jiggled at all it will pause the audio or skip to the next. Very frustrating.

Booo...did not fit secure in the iPhone 8. Music kept turning off due to connection. Funny its advertised for iPhone. Do yourself a favor, buy it from apple.
