Krusteaz Bread Mix, Natural Yeast, 14 Oz

The bread machine recipe worked great. I read some of the other reviews saying this flopped in the bread machine, but for me it worked great. The bread had a great rise and a nice light brown crust and it tastes great. I followed the recipe on the box, which is put the mix in the machine, add 1 cup water, add the yeast packet provided, set the machine to the regular white bread setting, and press start. How easy is that? Before using the yeast packet they provided I checked the expiration date on the box to be sure it was still within the "use by" date. It came out great and I will buy again. I wish Krusteaz still made the Italian Herb bread machine mix - that was delicious. They stopped selling it years ago, who knows why...it was a great product.

This actually turned out better than or as good as any of my more complicated bread machine recipes. It was a beautiful loaf, tasted very much like sourdough, exceeded all my expectations. Well worth the money, Rose to a large loaf, soft inside with crusty exterior. Smelled heavenly.

I really like this bread I love making bread and my bread maker and this brand raised beautifully. It’s a simple kind. It was a little bit hard but that’s kind of what this brand is like. I loved it overall and I would buy it again. I’m trying a few others before I decide which one I really like the best.

As a Krusteaz fan for so many years I was anxi9us to try this product. Ithas to be not one of thebest ones and I would not purchase it ever again. It is qite expensive for what the results produce. It is a very difficut dough to work with . The tangy sourdough taste is ok however but I did expect the loaf to raise a bit taller as it looked fine int he original two hour rise. Then came the not so easy part. Even with the flour as directed it was still so sticky and soft there was no way to gently get it out of the large bowl to the greased baking sheet. I had dough stuck to my fingers. So I was very disappointed with this product. It is only an inch to maybe an inch and a half tall as a finished loaf.
