freshest
These redskins are delicious, most importantly fresh, and big. Great snack. Gave them for xmas goodies, everyone loved them. I'm hooked. From now on I will buy only these redskins. Thank you Peanut Shop for a great quality product.

Good Container...Bad Nuts
I was expecting a quality product considering the exorbitant price however, the nuts were over cooked and were very crunchy (like biting into an egg shell) only once in a while I found a nut that was cooked just right and it was soft to bite into with a great taste. Most of the nuts (95+%) were not good. The only reason I did not give a one star rating is that the container was very well made with a pull top and the nuts were packed tight so as not to become broken in shipping.

High price, but very high quality
Other review: "They are very good but WAY overpriced."Right and right, and good reason to buy if you want premium, with tasty skin on, large, slightly oily, artisan roasted, whole taste peanuts.

great taste
I've ordered this item three times and every time the quality and taste was spot on. If you like red skin peanuts, you'll like these.

Very disappointed
I have always loved Spanish or Redskin peanuts, since back in my childhood days (1950's) when we could buy them from the penny machines. Locally, the Planters Redskins are the only decent ones available; the house brands from local grocery stores are just not worth the money. I found these during an internet search, and anticipating that they would be good, I bought two cans. However, the first can was so disappointing, I never opened the second can. It may just be personal taste, but I would not recommend these to anyone.

simply the best peanuts; crunchy, fresh, perfect amount of salt
pricey for the average income

Peanuts Taste Okay - But . . . Somewhat Strange And Definitely Different
These are more just 'cocktail' size salted peanuts (what Planters calls their large skinless salted peanuts). I like the smaller salted redskin Spanish peanuts, but all I can ever find that are halfway decent are just Planters brand, and I can't even get those at my local grocer. So I thought I would try these larger cocktail size "red skin" peanuts. The flavor of the peanuts is okay; they are salty, almost to the point of being too salty; and they are the crunchiest peanuts of this type that I have ever eaten and that are not burnt from being over-roasted. As far as the "red skin" part of the description, well you do get a can full of skin bits and pieces, flakes, specs, crumbs, etc, but not really any peanuts with the skin still in tact. Somewhere in the prep, processing, cooking chain, essentially all the the skins are removed, as if the peanuts were put thru some kind of tumbler to intentionally remove all the skins. Then the bits and pieces of skin are dumped in the can with the skinless peanuts. Whatever oil is used sort of binds the two together.
