Blackbird Large SecureFit S30 Foam Tips - Black

I got these to try as a cheaper alternative to Comply, that are now working out at £5 per pair, for my Sen IE80’s, which seems a bit excessive.They are a denser foam, more like the original Sennheiser ones but with the plastic inner similar in construction to Comply, so more rigid.Currently I’m trying to figure out if they actually are any more cost effective, as they don’t seem to last quite as long. With Comply I was getting 3-4 weeks per pair, but these are more like 2-3 weeks, so it may be a case of half a dozen of one and 6 of the other..sound quality-wise they are better constructed and a better fit than the Sennheiser ones which only come in large or small foams. Small in these would be equivalent to medium in the Senns which they don’t make unfortunately, probably reasoning that the big size can be squished to fit. It can but the seal with these is better just like the Comply. You do sacrifice some air and space having them tighter fitting but obviously they blot out more background noise which at 100+ dB on the Picadilly or Northern London Tube is what I need..The only other gripe is sustainability. If I’m using twice as many as Comply, then there is the question of what happens to them. They degrade from the acid in the ear wax and environmental factors but are they biodegradable? Can they be recycled. If I’m going to use these over silicone then their short lifespan is a concern for more single use plastic pollution...

I heard good things about these tips as a replacement for stock in-ear earphones - so I got some to try on a pair of Final F3100 Earphones.Packaging is really cool, tips come in a neat sliding box which is matted and feels like a luxury item. Fitment instructions are printed on a small card inside.These tips are great, they're like memory foam pillows for your ears! The stock tips on my earphones were good, these just felt like a total upgrade in terms of fit and comfort; ultimately I think this improves the listening experience all round. Music and Netflix just seemed to sound better as a result of using these.These were so comfortable I repeatedly fell asleep watching my iPad (I forgot I was wearing any earphones at all) which I'm sure these tips had something to do with!They're really squishy and mould to the shape of your ear really well - it feels like you're wearing custom moulds and you quickly forget you're wearing earphones at all. They don't fall out and they don't irritate your ear, so it's a killer product in my opinion, and a total bargain. A great upgrade for your earphones, give them a try!

Perfect replacement for the Comply ear buds that came lasted nearly 2 years and came with my E80S Soundmagic earphones. The inner grip is more rubbery and so more pliable to fit.General for memory foam ear buds: more comfortable and make a complete seal and individual fit (you still need to choose Small/Medium/large to best fit your ears), much closer to feeling like you are wearing earphones as quite soft, I've never found them to drop out (just push them into place for a couple of seconds whilst they mold to your ear each wear).From previous experience, memory foam last around 2 years (I'd far rather replace memory foam every 2 years on good earphones than use rubber/silicon buds).Check the Blackbird website for the exact buds to suit your earphones.

These are great earbuds, but they tend to fall apart and break (the core part seems to get unstuck from the foam outer layer easily). I've already used 6 and I only bought them recently. Given the low price though and the large number you get in the box this isn't such a big deal.

Great product, let down slightly by flimsy construction. I go through a few pairs each month as the foam is always coming away from the plastic hoop. Can’t fault the audio with my sound magic e80s.

Good enough, but the foam springs back too fast really and the foam is poorly sealed so there are open bubbles at the surface.

I have been using these tips for just over a month.Coming from Comply foam tips - I felt right at home with these Blackbird tips. I would go as far as to say that I found the Blackbird tips to be softer and comfier overall.The only downside is that I managed to rip my first pair of tips in 3 weeks, even though I was fairly gentle with them :(

Worked well for the first month, have been disintegrating ever since.
