Great projector if you know what you are buying
I wanted to buy a projector to project spooky videos on widows during Halloween and after reading scores of reviews for various products, settled on Dr. Q. I never had the intention to use this projector to watch football or TV, therefore, spending little less than £60 seemed reasonable.Although I had high-quality Halloween videos, I was amazed at the quality of output from this projector. Crisp and clear. And the overall visuals were even better when looked at from a distance which is what I wanted. I used a £3 shower screen from Wilkos which worked a treat. Gadget Mommy, who is usually sceptical about all gadgets, was impressed as well. We received multiple comments from visitors and had neighbours standing out on the porch and appreciating the videos. The projector itself is very light (not heavy) and comes in a tightly packed box with a couple of manuals and all cables. Set-up and use was a breeze even without reading the manuals and remote although feels cheap, is sufficiently functional. The projector has a built-in media player so all you need is a USB drive to plug and play your videos. This last feature is not available in projectors costing £1000 so it was quite surprising but a welcome addition. The physical focus wheel works fine and keystone is ok. I am not a big fan of keystones anyway and prefer to fix the projector at the right height.Impressed with the Halloween experience, I put this projector to test to watch Netflix. I knew straightaway this was a bad idea. The projected image was pixelated in a completely dark room but fairly watchable. 15 minutes into this experience and I developed a headache maybe due to the picture quality or the not-so-good audio quality. This projector does not support Dolby sound output hence you need to change the audio setting to standard one which is unbearable through this projector.I have rated it 5 stars as this projector exceeded my expectations to project Halloween videos. The rating is also not to receive the free cover that the seller provides in return for 5 stars given within 48 or 72 hours of purchase as its been couple of weeks since I have had this product. If you found this review useful, please do hit the "Helpful" button below.

Fantastic Projector - great image and great customer service
This is a fantastic projector. I have had the 1800 Lumen model for a few months and decided to purchase this, also. I am very pleased that I did - this 2400 lumen model is brighter and adds more 'life' to the picture quality. I use this projector for watching films and TV programmes on my walls (either white or off-white/cream coloured) and do not feel the need for a screen. If you have pictures etc up on your walls then you might want to invest in a screen. This has literally played every type of file that I have asked it to from my USB stick. I have also purchased a NOW TV stick for £20 to watch TV on it with BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and YouTube etc.The build of this projector is great. Very sturdy and I prefer the extra-sleekness of this model compared to the 1800 Lumen model. It is portable and perfectly-sized for carrying around from room to room. It is great to have the tripod connection, also. I use a cheap tripod with mine and this works really well. There is a keystone adjuster if the projector is not directly in line with the projection space. Offers only slight but worthwhile adjustment if needed.Sometimes I use external speakers with the projector but this is not always necessary. I use external speakers if I am watching a film with family - but if I am just catching up with some TV programmes then the projector speakers work perfectly fine. There is some fan noise but I have certainly heard noisier fans. It is no problem at all when the sound is up and you soon stop hearing it. Using the projector is very straightforward. The menu is clear and the remote is easy to use. There is a digital zoom, also, which allows you to make the image smaller is you only have limited projection space.I have wanted a projector for several years but never wanted to spend hundreds of pounds on one. This projector is an absolute bargain and the clarity of the image is great. Out-of-the-box, the image quality is quite jarring. You need to go through the picture settings in the menu to get the best picture quality. Just go through each setting one-by-one adjusting to your taste. I have been very impressed watching blu rays through my blu ray player on an image around 300' (even though 170' is the suggested limit!) Watching TV etc then I think around 170' (maybe a bit more!) is best, depending on the quality of the source. Finally, the customer service that I have had from DR Q has been amazing. I have had a couple of questions and replies have been swift and very helpful. A great projector, great price and great service!

Excellent for price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Great starter projector, currently using a wall with no screen.Works great with a fire stick.First pic is Kodi addon when in the dark, and the 2nd pic is a stream of fox 5 during the daytime, 3rd pic is the BBC IPlayer & the video is the WWE Network, showing the projector has no problems with HDCP. Easy set up and great for the price. In the box you also received a HDMI cable and a power cable. The only downfall is the power cable is about 30cm long and the built in speaker can sound a bit tinny, I suggest looking for a external speaker (I'm using a Bluetooth speaker compatible with the fire stick, with an aux jack) and a longer power cable (figure 8 style)Recommend for a child's room or 2nd (dark) sitting roomAlso included in the box is the instructions, warranty card and a 2nd card which is a email address to claim your case. It's that good, I've purchased on for my friend.Edit. Great contact between seller and myself regards a great little carry bag

Superb quality and value
I bought this projector to create an outside cinema for my kids and their friends. Having used an older projector in the past, I was very impressed by how easy it was to set up and by the picture quality, which is incredibly good on a 10 foot wide screen. The projector is small and light, so very portable and I can see we will be using it a lot. This is undoubtably one of the best purchases I have made this summer.
