I had been searching in local stores to find this product for a special project I am working on. This product was available on Amazon at a better price and it was was exactly as described on the website and will be most appropriate for my project. I am very pleased and will return to this vendor again if I should find myself in needing anything else.

used it in a mix for the dome of my pizza oven. For this purpose is better than the agricultural grade perlite but not ideal. Approximately 15% by volume is above 3mm particle size(very large voids, makes for a week structure for a pizza oven) and about 50% bellow 0.5mm particle size (basically dust that loads up the mixture but doesn't add insulation value). For a one time use it probably doesn't matter that much but this is getting spendy!
