Good bang for your buck.
I liked my S8 so much, I replaced it with this referb for $200. Sure I may be missing out on the hottest new thing, but I'm content with what it is. I'd simply rather pay a couple notes up front to stick with what I'm use to, compared to $40-50 per month for 30 months for needless contemporary tech. So I went this route. Package arrives via FedEx 2 days earlier than expected. Suitable and weather resistant packaging, mind you. Accompanying the phone in the package is a tool to eject the sim card, 1 meter USB C cable, and a power supply. The power supply is branded the same company the phone came from. 'Celltraders'. It's made in China, and is not a fast charger. Works fine as a normal charger after the month or so I've had this replacement now. I was somewhat hoping for an official Samsung power supply, but I'll get over it. I get it. The external condition of the phone is quite good. Had the protective storage film on it which gave it that cared for and new product feel. No scratches on the screen at all. Some minor wear marks near the USB port. Some very light scratches on the sides All buttons have good feel and work as they should. Headphone port works. Do new phones even have that anymore? Camera takes just as good of pictures as my old S8. While surely not as good as what's probably out there now, again, I'm okay with that. Battery life...Pretty good actually. I mean, it's obviously way better life than my retired original S8. Seems pretty close to what I recall a newish S8's discharge frequency being like. Which is satisfying and adequate. Can't find much wrong with this at all. Just understand it's tech from 3-4 years ago. Android 9 Pie, but the phone was noted to be a good bit ahead of it's time when it launched. Turns out that was quite true since it still holds up well against some modern (and still more expensive) non-flagship devices. Honestly, this was a such a satisfying deal to me, that next time I'm in need of replacement or upgrade, I'll search the market for another slightly dated "Renewed" flagship phone. It's really not barbaric to be a few years behind cutting edge.

Factory unlocked S8 won't work on Spectrum
SPECTRUM customers READ this.I've tried to replace my S8 twice. I use Spectrum service through Verizon towers, and both times the phone I received would not function properly. Sim card was accepted and everything loaded fine, however I was unable to use data. All other functions worked great, phone calls, texts. Wifi, but as soon as I turned off wifi I could not connect to the internet.I noticed even though there were 3 or 4 bars of service, there was no LTE icon next to it. Took the phone to Spectrum, twice, 2 different locations. The 2nd gentlemen, after some time was able to figure out the problem....Here you go...The phone I ordered was a Factory unlocked phone, the actual model number is G950U1. This is different from a G950U, which is a carrier unlocked phone. There is a software issue with the S8 factory unlocked phones, they won't work with Spectrum. He was able to manipulate the APN and enable the data on the phone however it then lost cellular use. Spectrum is aware of this incompatibility, And the rep showed me a spreadsheet of phones that will work and phones that won't.Long story longer, the S8 carrier unlocked phone(ie, unlocked Verizon branded phones) will work along with any newer factory or carrier unlocked phone such as the S9, 10, etc...My solution was to purchase a Verizon labeled S9 and I now have a working phone. I hope this helps other Spectrum customers looking for an S8. Everything else about the phone was perfect so definitely 4 stars with the glitch.

Good phone for the price, great customer service
I have to admit I did not do my homework on finding information for this phone. I had no idea the whole phone is pretty much incased in glass, so I told my son he had to be very careful with it until we were able to get a cover for it. I had no idea it is going to be a huge ordeal and a pain to change out the battery if ever needed. It is nice though that the SIM card is located in its own little slot instead of in the back of the phone with the battery. Customer service on this device was so helpful when it came to making sure the phone would work with my carrier and my plan. I am thinking about upgrading my phone that I have now to this phone. So far my son hasn't told me any complaints about the phone and seems to really like it

Not as good as I thought.
Being a fan of Samsung, I liked the phone, so I was a bit surprised at the problems I had with it. When I tried to answer a call, or make a call, I could not hear the voice on the other end of the line. I could barely hear someone talking, but could not hear a single word they said. I could only hear them if I turned on the speaker. When taking a picture, it was excellent! Very sharp shots! However, it would only allow you to view it once and then the picture was lost, as if it was never taken. Instead, it replaced the shot with a grainy image of black and white stripes. It also dropped calls, in a location where the signal was very strong, just a few minutes into the call. I was in the middle of a conversation when all of a sudden, for no reason at all, the call just dropped. I wasn't having any static or breaking up throughout the call.Battery life is pretty good. Stays charged for an average amount of time.I paid nearly $300 for this model. I don't think it's worth more than $150. I wouldn't pay more than that...A bit disappointed in this model. I will return it for a different model. Something nice about returning the product with Re-Cell, though, is that they will send you the postage-paid label to attach to the package! 😀👍

Lo único malo es que vino con dos audífonos derechos.
