Works as expected as long as you know this little trick
Mine wouldn't charge at first when I received it. To fix it, you have to connect it to your phone, go into the mod settings and force reset it. That will allow its battery to charge. Do keep in mind that it has enough juice for maybe 10 pictures at a time and that you can't charge it while it's connected to the phone. Other than that, it's a brilliant little gadget. Just don't expect amazing levels of picture quality! It's just a fun little gadget to impress your friends and keep some nice memories. :)

You can still get the insta share printer app
APP IS AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET. NOT THE STORE.If you had just purchased this device for your Motorola you have probably realized like me that the Polaroid app does not recognize device nor that the insta share printer app is missing from the play store. Luckily somebody posted the APK linked in Reddit to insta share printer app that can be installed on the drive on your phone and you can install the app from there it will do in all one step from the link on Reddit.Just type up why InstaCare printer app was removed and the results will show a form on Reddit and somebody posted a link I was able to get the app on my phone and print a picture with ease. MSG ME ON INSTAGRAM @CHEDDERMAN420 IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE FINDING IT I CAN SEND IT TO YOU.Battery life is fine when fully charged didn't find it too much draining on my phone. Do use your moto phone charger though. So don't hesitate to buy. Instagram @chedderman420 if you have any questions.I can send you a screenshot of the link. Amazon won't upload it I've tried.Still taking photos and chargers fine with Motorola charger.Just order more paper.

Novelty for sure! Not for professional quality
I don't know if it's a product issue or an app issue, but when I opened the box and starting using it, it was GREAT. A week later, the app crashes if I try to print a pic from my photo album. If I shoot and print right away, it will work. The printer has to "warm up" before printing, the photo quality is grainy, and the battery life of the printer is crap. You have to charge friendly (after 2-3 prints) and it slowly discharges when off and in a box. I love this mod, but it's a little pricy for the quality.

This is really fun
I love it. Only the fact that you have a camera which instantly prints whatever pic you take with your phone after editing it is awesome. Consider the photos are small before buying it.. but hey, it's a phone, you can't expect more. It's easy to use. The only thing I might tell as an issue is the short battery life but at least charges fast. I definitely recommend.

Bought three of these. Not one worked at all. But that's not the problem.
Obviously, anyone looking at this niche product is a niche person still trying to get value out of the abandoned ecosystem of the Moto Z. Of course we don't use the Z4 as a phone any more but we have all the mods to tinker with and impress, well, mostly, our unassuming grandchildren. But this was the last mod I didn't have and when the price dropped below $30, I figured it would still be a fun novelty to take a picture at a wedding or something with this and have laugh or two before the battery ran out."Look ma! His phone just printed a photo!" A child's awe for a few moments is worth at least $30.But, alas, it would't charge! I figured the thing would arrive dead because it's been sitting on a shelf somewhere in the Land of Misfit Toys for about three years. And, it was a crummy piece of engineering when it left the drawing table. But remember, I bought it for the effect of sticking a printer on a phone. A phone! How whimsical is that!? It didn't need to be good. It just needed to be silly enough to impress a child for a moment AND just barely functional. That's why we bought our Moto Z in the first place, right? So I charged it over night. Twice! Both using the port on the mod AND via the Moto Z. I used different cables. I used different AC adapters. I even used different outlets. This didn't worry me because I have the Prime free return AND–you guessed it–I bought insurance!. Heck that was only $2.19 and when you're on a silliness bender, throttle it up I say. I was still under $30 with a two year Asuron insurance plan. I can't lose, I thought. So I gave up on the first one but before returning it I thought, heck, just order another one. Get the insurance too. Party on, Garth. But, alas again! The second unit wouldn't charge either! BTW, both units were "brand new" and had no signs of being re-packaged.Ok, this vender of this old Moto Mod can't possibly have three bad units? So I ordered a third. And more insurance.Freaking alas! Same dead, unchargeable brick. Finally, as a last resort, I read the instructions. Nothing but "plug the USB cable in, you fool". Words to that effect. So, my dear, niche, silly friend: Don't buy this Polaroid Mod. In fact, just call it a day on your Moto Z. Let's all post our Z's to eBay and see if there is some one or some thing out there who can extract a last bit of utility out of those things. Even my Haselblad camera mod stopped working. It never worked that well anyway. But it got me a few good moments of awe.I'll get my money back on the printers. That's not the problem. And I might have helped you not buy the same product. But I don't know you and, frankly, I don't think I want to know someone as silly as me.No, I am most sad that I couldn't print a photo directly out of a phone for my grandson. No other product that I know has ever promised such silliness. And this sole specimen in the entire history of the planet failed on the promise of a moment of awe.

Excellent
I picked up this little gem for under $40, probably due to the fact that Motorola's Moto Z line is nearing obsolescence. I love the Moto Z line and the moto mods have been an excellent value add. I have accumulated about 7 of them from over the years, as I had an original Moto Z play (longest battery life of any phone on the market at launch ~2016). The best ones were the projector, battery packs, and the speakers; but this one is great too. (especially at that price!). This one was around $200 for the longest, which is why I never picked it up before. I can recommend this enough if you have Moto Z phone. At this point, you'd probably have a moto Z3 or Z4

Nice item
I like the item but the battery goes dead and can't get it to charge back up to be able to use it anymore. I bought a Bluetooth type from Walmart. Works good. Size of a cigarette pack

You need the Insta-share app to use this product
I love this Mod! out of the 3 Mods I own I use this the most. But before you can use it you will need to download the app and unfortunately, it's not available in any app store. However, if you search "Insta-share app nowhere to be found reddit" there is a wonderful soul who has uploaded a clone to google drive and it works flawlessly.

Great Mod fast shipping
Great mod! The app for the mod is not available on Google Play so you'll have to search for and download the APK app file, other than that it's great.

Calidad deficiente
