This is an elegant and highly functional standing desk. I previously purchased the Stan 1, and when I decided I wanted to use an external monitor with my laptop, I bought this model, the Stan 2. This model is significantly heavier to be able to support the monitor's weight (it's an Apple Thunderbolt display), so even though the desk breaks down rapidly and all the pieces hang off the central support for transport, it's not the sort of thing you'll probably be doing very frequently. But that aside, it is simple to adjust to the right height and striking in appearance. The two shelves are large, and the lower one for the keyboard and mouse is notably spacious, much bigger than the Stan 1's - there's enough room to put your coffee cup there, for example. The light natural wood pairs well with the modern aesthetic of the design. The manufacturing quality is high but does not try to be perfect - there is a bit of individuality to each piece, and you get the sense this was made by a few people in a workshop rather than stamped out of a plastic mold like so many other things. I was pleased this could be set up on a very small Ikea desk - the footprint is small, and the main central support extends back over the edge of the desk. When I first set this up, the display seemed a bit closer to me than I was expecting, but I adjusted pretty quickly, and I find the ergonomics are good. I've already recommended these standing desks to several colleagues - they are great!

Though I have a comfortable desk chair, I tend to spend too much time sitting. In an effort to eliminate that habit, I purchased the Stan2 from Humbleworks. I had done a lot of research to find a standing desk converter to sit atop my regular desk that was high enough for me and that felt sturdy enough. The Stan2 meets both of these requirements and looks great too. I looked at the three different versions of Stan family of standing desks and the Stan2 was made from 23mm plywood. It is sturdy and can support my laptop and tablet I use as a second screen on the top shelf and I can comfortably rest my palms on the lower shelf and not feel that the Stan2 will fall apart. It is well made and I recommend it for others to consider.

This desk is absolutely beautiful! Pure wood, cleanly crafted and easy to put together! So beautiful for what it is! In this crazy time of COVID, I had to work from home quickly, I needed something ergonomic to help me be my normal productive self, this was my answer! I think Humbleworks is an amazing innovative company with a great idea and plan! I've made this work with a keyboard and laptop, and it's been so much easier to work in an ergonomic environment! Good design, good workmanship but pricey. Easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the product arrived damaged and in a terribly worn box. I am going to return it.

Both my husband and I use our humblework standing desk products daily—they are brilliantly designed for easy storage, lovely to look at when assembled and in use and easy to assemble! We have bought them for our kids to help them transition into the remote workforce. Cant recommend them enough!

Working from home, I found myself sitting in one position for a long period of time. Even with a fantastic desk chair, I would be left stiff and sore. I thought about getting an electric sit stand desk. But, I thought what I would like even more is to be able to comfortably work from many places in the house. Working with a laptop on my lap is just not comfortable. I bought the Stan 2 because most of the time, I wanted to support a 27” monitor. It does that job perfectly. The desk is stable. It does not wobble or bounce. It feels very solid. However, what I love about it is that I can grab my laptop, bluetooth keyboard, and bluetooth mouse and setup almost anywhere in the house. At the kitchen table, I can sit with the keyboard on the table and the laptop at eye level. I can quickly move the shelves to stand, bring the keyboard up the shelf and again moving the monitor to eye level. If I had any criticism at all, it would be to make it tall enough to use as a desk with the whole thing sitting on the floor and the widest shelf in the tallest position. That’s a lot to ask though. There are plenty of other ways to use it that are much more ergonomic. I find myself moving around a lot more and feeling better throughout the day.

Super sleek product that was easy to assemble, and disassemble when necessary. Allows you to place hand at comfortable position, and easily adjust based on what you prefer! Little pricey, but will last, and will be used!

I have used a stand up desk at work for several years. With the advent of working from home I wanted a solution for my home office. The Stan 2 is just that - slim and understated enough not to dominate, yet sturdy enough to accommodate a 32” curved screen. Very easy to assemble and disassemble. At the time I purchased, the wider shelf option was not available and I struggled to manage a full size keyboard, mouse mat and mouse. I’m lucky to have a very handy father-in-law who made a replacement wider and deeper shelf for me, from identical laminated birch, which made all the difference. I’d advise anyone using a standard keyboard and mouse to consider the wide shelf version.I’m a satisfied customer.

when the carton arrived, it was clear that it was reopened already before, and likely returned. After assembly I could tell why: there is a production defect with a wood cut out simply in a complete wrong position.It hurts to get defective stuff, and it hurts even more that the stuff was already returned once, and then shipped out again ... super bad.To set things straight, please ship replacement unit. Upon arrival I will gladly use the carton to return the faulty unit.Thank you!

I have had this standing desk for nearly two years. It is permanently set up on my desk but occasionally I need to take it off which is easy to do simply sliding out the shelves and putting the rest of the stand on the floor, or if you need to un hook the cables. The two-shelf arrangement works well with the lower shelf being used for my keyboard and mouse, and laptop on upper shelf. Sometimes I have a notebook on the lower shelf as well. So, I find the product versatile for different working arrangements.

I was so excited when this arrived as I had done a lot of research. Unfortunately it was damaged during delivery. However, Humbleworks have since offered very good customer service and I believe have also changed their shipping methods.

Don't hesitate, buy this! Super strong and sturdy, looks elegant and what an pleasure to stand while in meetings and working. It was easy to assemble and worth every penny. Your back and hips will thank you!
