The laptop is fast, accepted all our programs and is exactly what we wanted. We recommend any HP computer - laptop or desktop - as you can't go wrong with the exceptional quality and high tech features you get for the money. This computer does everything that i needed it for.. I use it for everything except work as I am am retired. Use it take care of bill payments, bank reconciliation as well as for pleasure. It is fast when you are shopping in different sites and listening to music. My wireless headphones pair easily . It is also easy to set up when first starting out. I enjoy it and am pleased with my purchase. It has Microsoft Office so I don't think doing work would be any problem.

It arrived quickly, was easy to setup, and is so much faster than my old Gateway machine for surfing the internet, etc.

This seller is peddling garbage. Brand new laptop won’t turn on or take a charge less than 2 months after purchase. Hasn’t done anything aside from sit on my nights stand apart from the few times I’ve used it. I’ve owned quite a few laptops and never had one bite the dust this quickly, not even close. “Brand new” batteries don’t degrade that fast. Period. Seller says “sorry to hear it”. YOUVE BEEN WARNED.Update: Laptop is now completely trash. Certain keys began to sporadically stop working and now it won’t take a charge at all. Transactions like this are the reason I’ll never buy another computer or piece of tech from Amazon. People can just screw you and there’s no recourse. Awful transaction start to finish.Update: Purchased a Dell from Best Buy for about a hundred dollars more than I spent on this one. Two months of use and it works perfectly, plus I have the peace of mind knowing that because I purchased the extended protection I can take it in should any problems arise. I should’ve done this from the beginning and I recommend that anyone who reads this do the same.

My son really likes it

The laptop was a great price for the horsepower. However, I was unable to get Ubuntu 22.04 to boot up on the laptop. I run Ubuntu Linux on all my computers and rarely have an issue installing on a new computer. This laptop was the exception. I attempted to install Ubuntu 22.04. The installation went smoothly, but the system would not boot up. It kept saying it could not find the file-system. I then attempted to install 24.04. Again, the installation went smoothly, but the system would not boot up. I then attempted to install 20.04. The installation went smoothly and this time the system did boot up. However, when I performed the release upgrade to go from 20.04 to 22.04, the upgrade went smoothly but the system would no longer boot up. I must have tried some 20 installations attempting different BIOS and kernel configurations before finally giving up and returning the laptop. I ended up buying a different HP laptop from Sam's Club with which I had no problems at all installing and booting Ubuntu 22.04.If you are going to stick with the stock Microsoft Windows installation, then this laptop is probably a great buy for you. If you intend to install a Linux installation instead, then you should avoid this laptop.

This is a good little computer and it's an annoying little computer. It is good that it is light weight and easily slips into a knapsack with no noticeable weight increase. Watch the battery life, it drains rather quickly and is slow to charge. The unit also cannot be used at night, unless, and this is a big unless, you are a master of the keyboard. The reason I say this is because the keys do not light up. That is a big deal to me, because my last little laptop key's lit up and I could continue to work into the night.Perhaps this is a new feature, or I haven't figured out how to fix it, but the icons line up on the left side of the screen and do not save. Meaning, every time I want to go to Google, I have to manually type it in. I set Google as my default search screen and it always defaults to Bing, another thing I do not like.So, in the end, I believe this was a get what I pay for system. It's good in that it's light weight, the processing speed is awesome, but that could be my internet provider. I do not like how the websites that I go to on a daily basis do not save on a top rack that I can just click on. The keys do not light up and that is a big downer for me.2.5 stars for this unit, but I gave it three, because it really is a solid little computer, the set up is just not to my personal liking.
