this was my first time using anythign like this, but it ended up doing pretty good.. getting the cotton fill to stay out of the glue was the hardest part and was really the only issue. it stayed on and in place for the most part all evening.. except around my lower lip, but that was an area we had issue w/ the glue and all the talkign/drinking.. overall i was very happy w/ everthing.. i didnt paint it up anymore like some people said and i was happy.

The appliance is literally scotch-taped to my face in this picture, and it looks this good.Yes, as mentioned by other users, you will need to do a little detail work on the paint. It does not look like the picture out-of-box, but if you just look at the sample photo while you do a simple paint job (a little black acryllic paint costs $1.50 at MIchael's, maybe water it down to do shading, then toothbrush-spritz it for texture), you'll get it in the neighborhood.Come on, just do it while you have a drink and marathon some crap on Netflix.Spirit gum will hold it to your face, and if you don't want to go nuts with hiding edges, use a hood, or get some shredded-up creepy-cloth and wrap your head in a cowl to hide the edges. Paint your skin black beneath it, and contacts always finish a look!

Great mask. Will need to be painted to get a good effect. You can see my pics, the (hand painted) top half vs. the (original) lower jaw section. Only required about 45 minutes to paint, use a high quality acrylic artist paint if you want to give it some detail. The spirit gum was difficult to remove, even with the included removing solution. Ended up using some mineral spirits from the garage; though my face then pealed for a week. Other than that, once cut to a custom fit, the mask worked out great. I've done a few of these and enjoy the effect they can create. Take away: an inexpensive Halloween mask with a great effect for those who do not mind putting in a right amount of work to bring it all together.

After calling Amazon they were nice enough to refund the money which was appreciated.It's too small and it's cheap. It says it's returnable yet refuses to accept. We tried to return before Halloween in its unused condition and says it's not eligible. Came back to the listing and it says returnable and it was well within 30 days.

I would give it a five star, it fits good, I'm 6'1 and 230lbs, added some hair and a hat around it and it fit great. If it had been a slight bigger to fit the full face I would have given it a 5 rating. But if you like skulls like me, you'll love it.

Thought this was a mask not an appliance. Description needs to be clearer. Maybe add picture in packaging.

Good for what I needed. Used as a base for a skull mask and glued it to a spandex hood, then built features up with cotton and latex.

This was a great skull prosthetic to build from. I added more latex, wax, teeth, hair and paint. I was very happy I found this product. May buy again for other Halloween masks.
