Choose your thickness (dependent upon how much smaller you want the ring) then just wind around and cut off when you have enough on the ring.

Well you only make the ring small enough to fit you so, like any ring which fits, it will go over your knuckle. All this does is make the ring the correct size. You just have to choose which thickness you need dependent upon how much smaller you want to make the ring

Can the adjuster be removed easily? As this is just a temporary solution for me until I get my ring resized.
