One word to describe this gimbal. Just, WOW. I've owned the iSteady M6 version of this gimbal for over a year now (I love it) and decided to treat myself to an upgrade for Christmas as soon as I saw the new M7 was available. There is already so much hype over this gimbal on YouTube- and the hype has all proven to be true and accurate! This gimbal really has it all and the engineers at Hohem seem to have thought of everything the content creator would need to produce great videos and included them as features in the M7. You can even make live content on any app while using the Hohem Joy app to control the gimbal- so this gimbal is perfect for people creating content for TikTok, Instagram, etc. (the gimbal/AI tracking can be used without the app, too!)First, I like that Hohem decided to still include a durable carry case but now include room to hold my Zhiyun M40 fill light, and extra cables. The included charging cable, coiled transfer cable, as well as the tripod attachment are everything a new user would need to get started. Also, let me just say how great it is that this gimbal has a built-in extension pole/selfie stick. Fully extended, the gimbal's length just about doubles in size – about two feet! It's a very convenient way to film professional quality selfie content without having to carry around more equipment. It raises the question: Why don't all manufacturers include a telescoping pole feature? The handle grip has a robust, solid feel and the control wheel feels smooth and refined.To me, the most impressive upgrades on this gimbal are its use of the newest AI technology and the removable magnetic components. The detachable touchscreen remote is a game changer. I love that I can remotely frame myself perfectly in the shot without having to walk back to the camera to check my framing. It enables precise use of the gimbal from a distance and shows battery life of the gimbal and the battery charge of the detachable remote. Best of all, the remote displays a real-time view of what the smartphone is recording. So useful- for example, you can double tap on an object in the touchscreen video to instantly enable the AI tracking. The AI tracking is fantastic, too. Hohem's AI technology has been in use for a couple years and has become refined with this generation. The upgraded higher resolution AI imaging makes fast movements and turns no problem at all for the AI to track. The AI module also doubles as a bright multi-color fill light that is adjustable from warm to cool.This gimbal has an upgraded battery that gives 12 hours of standalone runtime and has the option of charging a smartphone which dramatically increases shooting time. I used the setup all afternoon and only used about 25% of the battery. And Hohem says that it only takes 3 hours to fully charge the battery, too.All this adds up to the M7 being the most feature-rich smartphone gimbal I've ever seen. And at this price point, it is well worth the investment.

I've always been a fan of the iSteady M6, so with the M7 by Hohem iSteady, I think they took it to another level... maybe TWO levels.The previous version(iSteadyM6) had great features like the focus wheel which could also adjust the roll axis, they gave it a proper mini screen, and we have the a to b buttons for programming movements. The AI tracking unit was such a neat and amazing tool. With the M6, they put all the good stuff from all different gimbals into one gimbal.With the M7, everything is the same except they gone a bit further and added things that I wouldn't have thought of. The bigger 1.4" mini screen has touch screen capabilities that allow the user to flawlessly navigate multiple different settings. The screen acts as a preview camera screen as well and it acts as a detachable remote so working with it is so convenient. Unlike the M6, the handle of the M7 extends giving more freedom to capture better angles, selfies, and drone-like shots with the need for a separate handle extension! Just pull to extend! The AI tracker is also a "fill-in" light and can be adjusted using the setting on the detachable remote. Both the AI tracker and the screen remote are removable and connect using magnets, making them easy and fluid when connecting them back into their designated housing. Press the side wheel button for a couple seconds and the fill-in light is on. The light operates in 2 modes, the CCT mode allows you to adjust from warm to cold. On the other hand, the RBG mode allows you to cycle the light color thru the entire spectrum. Use the wheel to adjust the color and brightness. The mini screen allows you to do all of this as well and including turning the light on and off. The battery life is up to 12 hours and that is dependent on how the gimbal is used. Using the AI tracker and fill light will impact the life of the battery by a bit. The only issue that this gimbal could possible have negatively, is that it's not extremely lightweight and foldable. For me, that is NOT an issue and I feel that I'll be using this for all my filming shots without question.
