The Luxury of Lexar
The Lexar brand is great! The transfer of data is seamless. Versatile as it has the option to store files in both encrypted and unencrypted mode. Fits in your palm or pocket. Can attach it to a key chain or similar apparatus, but one of the connectors will be exposed, as there is no cover. Stable, sturdy design for dual ports, USB-A and USB-C.

Great value drive from Lexar!
Good reliable drive. Having a usb c and usb a type connector makes it versatile. Handy for pulling images and videos off my pixel phone quickly if I don't want to bother emailing or moving the content online. Plenty of size and storage capacity. I've noticed it gets hot much faster when using the USB C connector but still works fine. Good transfer performance for this price point. Comes preformatted with the usual FAT32, 512 B sector size.

Fast, all-metal, dual USB-C/A
I've had this Lexar D40E a while now as my go-between drive for USB-C and plain USB-A ports. Build is the first thing you notice — it's all metal, so it feels far more substantial than the plastic sticks everyone ships. The 360° swivel cover is satisfying to flip, and there's a key-ring loop. And it's genuinely quick. This is the first thumb drive I've owned that actually gets warm during a big transfer, which sounds like a quirk but is really the speed doing work through an aluminum body. Reads about in line with the ~100MB/s spec. My one gripe: the swivel only covers one connector at a time, so whichever port is exposed sits open to pocket lint and dust. Minor, but worth knowing before you let it roam loose in a bag. It does more than I need and I won't fill it for a while. If you bounce files between a C-only laptop and older gear, or drag big batches off a phone, it's the right tool.

Backing up the DCIM folder on my Pixel 7 phone averaged a 14MB/s write speed. This does write at 80MB/s peak bursts, but the average write speed for 1GB files is about 14MB/s across the entire storage. The build quality is solid. Having both USB-A and USB-C plugs on the same device makes this a very versatile device for copying files between devices with different data port types. I do not notice this USB drive runs hot. This is a solid USB device for data copy or backup needs. Good value for the price.

Handy Jump Drive for Use in Multiple Ports
I had a distinct need for this type of jump drive, and came to realize just how useful it can be in a world that finds both USB-A and USB-C in common use. I was preparing a video slideshow for an event, when it occurred to me that I didn't know which port the device it would be used on had. Rather than hope for the best or take two different jump drives, this was a simple, cost-effective option for rendering the file once and heading on my way, as time was short. The size is perfectly fine, in line with other jump drives. It's portable, of course, big enough that it won't easily get lost in transit, small enough to not be obtrusive. 64GB storage was plenty for my needs; I could have done with a smaller memory size but chose to err on the side of caution. Of course, suitability for your needs will depend on what exactly you need to place on the drive. I experienced no issues using either the USB-A or USB-C end, and the file was safely taken to its final destination for display with zero concern. Having both options saved me from a potential last-minute scramble if the end device was incompatible, so this was a worthy investment for my needs.

Seems worth the higher price, though only time can tell.
I always trust Lexar. This has great speed and capacity, and is both USB 3.2 and USB C, so it’s versatile. USB C connectors can be tricky, especially when the unit tends to rotate while you’re trying to insert it, but I think that’s unavoidable.

Excellent Value for a Dual USB Drive
Got it on sale for ~$25. The 128GB storage is amazing for that price, on top of being able to transfer any type of files between my devices from the dual USB C and USB A connectors. 100MB transfer speed isn’t bad at all and gets the job done. In terms of things I’ve noticed: it does get fairly hot when using, but nothing to burn your fingers. Plus, performance doesn't seem to be affected. I also cannot get the USB C to plug into my iPhone unless I take the case off, so beware of that.

Works Great in Samsung S25 Ultra USB C
I recently uploaded about 57GB of MP4 video files from my PC on to this flash drive. No problem with playback on my Samsung S25 Ultra via the USB C port. I need to watch video training sessions for work on the road and don't want to have to deal with wi-fi/cell signals. I will be buying a USB splitter/extender because the USB C end is not long enough to fit squarely into the phone with my Otterbox case on it. I took away a star because I didn't actually get a full 64GB. It was more like 59 or 60 GB because of pre loaded execution files. I really cant figure out what is taking up that much space though. Worked right out of the packaging, no formatting needed. Another small disappointment, it doesn't have a dust cap for the exposed end when not in use. Didn't have to format at it all. My phone also recognized it immediately when i put it into the USB C port and I didn't have to look through all kinds of folders to find it. Overall it meets my needs and Lexar is a well known brand. Lots of cheapies out there but I wanted to go with a known brand. Hopefully it will last a long while but I've learned never to trust these type of devices with my only copy of anything really critical.

An excellent thumb drive
This thumb drive delivers all its promises: - Dual connector (USB-A and USB-C, so I can use in both my computer and my smartphone - Just for safety I decided to validate the storage size and it indeed meets the expectations (H2Testw results at the end) - The writing speed is OK and has an excellent writing speed As cons, I didn't see much: - Since it has two connectors, one will always be unprotected, since the cover can only go over one at the time. Not a big deal, though. - It comes formatted as FAT32, which is compatible with more devices than NTFS, however this might limit the file size you can store. However formatting it to NTFS or other file system is just too simple to complain about it. Test results (H2testw v1.4): Test finished without errors. Writing speed: 26.4 MByte/s Reading speed: 178 MByte/s Quick note: the speeds listed above are averages. For the writing speed, it started around 100 MB/s and reduced to 26.4 MB/s. The writing speed was at its max during the entire test.
