Oasis reader
Just what you expect, a great reader and its waterproof but I have not tried it, other features include press to turn the page and it follows if you have it the other way round. Loads more but you can read the bumph. The only problem is the battery it doesn't last as long as I hoped and seems to need recharging more than my last reader.

Reburbished kindle oasis
I decided to buy a refurbished oasis and i was not disappointed the item arrived the next day well wraped, with the charger and instructions. The item appeared to be brand new, there are no signs of this being a refurb apart from the plain box.Battery life is very good, the display is crisp and the screen is very responsive.I really love that you can turn it upside down to hold in the other hand and the screen auto rotates.Im very happy with my purchase.

If you don't mind charging it every 4 days it's ok.
Poor battery and heavy.Nice screen. Like the side buttons. Great for a read in the spa or on the beach.

Upgraded to Kindle Oasis.
I received my kindle upgrade and it's fairly easy to use. On the surface, it feels different and there are buttons to move the page forward and back which is handy when reading in bed. You can listen with Bluetooth (I haven't quite worked this out yet). I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't know why I thought it would be colour? Which it isn't, but I am still pleased overall.

Atrocious customer service, great device
So as for the kindle, it’s great - the last kindle I owned was the kindle with a keyboard, and this is just miles nicer to use. I was a bit disappointed that you can’t add music to listen to while reading, but the sturdy build and light were enough to make up for it.Unfortunately my refurbished unit was defective, the battery was depleting after 2 days use, and after plugging in to charge it wiped the documents from the device, but you’d think Amazon would just return and replace -right?Wrong. The trouble I have had trying to get someone at amazon to help repack this unit has baffled me. Normally it’s a simple process to replace a defective item, but it took over an hour and a half and 10 customer service representatives to cut me off for me to finally ask whether or not I have the right to return. In the morning I was told by two people that a replacement was being send, only to receive an email asking me to contact amazon to resolve the issue with the possibility of a replacement being sent. I’d already spoken to 3 people at this point, and after a further hour of chatting to seven others who wanted me to troubleshoot away the issue with continual restarts and factory resettings explained, with some level of frustration, that I didn’t want to trouble shoot the issue I wanted a replacement.Time and time they refused to simply return and replace until I asked why, and whether I didn’t have the right to return. This seemed to grease the wheels finally and I have now (hopefully) been sent a replacement.I’m really disappointed with Amazon’s customer services on this. While the Oasis is a great piece of kit, I realise that my one is the exception to the rule. Unfortunately my excitement to receive my new one has been tarnished somewhat by my dealings with 10 customer services representatives, two of whom actively lied to me about a replacement, and 7 of whom cut me off mid conversation.

Larger screen is great. but its a very expensive kindle And the battery has failed
Very pleased originally with refurbished Oasis- seems new to me and works perfectly. I bought this simply because I know I need a larger screen to read on than the 6" kindle, and was getting worried at the effects on my eyes of using my iPad mini as a reader. My caveats re the kindle are that Kindle Oasis is very expensive and I don't need all the features, so feel held to ransom by Amazon and wish they would bring out a more basic 7" or ideally 8" reader for those who want or need a bigger screen for their ebooks, with standard headphone socket. I do need the extra memory for my library and wish Amazon used an SD card slot and moved to the more common e-pub version, though I can manage that with Calibre, but I suppose that's asking all too much of Amazon. The battery started to fail while I was trapped in New Zealand due to COVID 19 flight cancellations, less than year after purchase. I hope Amazon will help but I doubt it somehow, So a very expensive and useless device DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED. I may junk my amazon account now.

Works just like a new one
I like it for being waterproof and large capacity. However I still thinks that designwise and easiness to operate was with discontinued Voyage. I use both at the moment and I like Oasis too.

Expensive, best kindle yet, but not long lasting
Got this to replace my Kindle Voyage . There was nothing wrong with the Voyage and it seemed rather excessive to upgrade, but I'm glad I did. The larger screen makes a profound difference to the reading experience, the design is much more comfortable to hold, and being waterproof has already proven very useful by the pool. Battery performance also seems markedly better than the Voyage. A drop one star because it's expensive for what it is, and actually I think an even bigger screen, 8 inch, would be better still.Update: Battery died after three years of very light use, and no way to replace battery so device is now scrap. Going back to my older kindle Voyage.
