Great monitor and excellent value at £288
Great picture quality from the start with no adjustment needed.Oozes quality. Very good stand makes it easy to get the perfect position.Personally I don't use the portrait mode except when adding or removing cables to see the sockets.I use it for general web browsing, for coding (on a linux host via an HDMI lead) and for photo processing with adobe lightroom on a mac mini (using a mini displayport to displayport cable - which cost £6 from Amazon). Oddly the spec. here doesn't seem to mention the displayport input - but it's definitely there. How good is the monitor?a) I prefer it to my old Dell U3011 Ultrasharp 30 inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor with Premier Color - which had the same resolution but cost £893 (£605 more!).b) I've just downsized to this HP from a Samsung 43 inch 4K UHD TV - which gave a lot more resolution but was horrible on my desk - both aesthetically and in use - the corners are so far away you have to stretch to see them well. So I find the HP much better.c) If you compare the HP on Amazon with similar monitors you can see it weighs a fair bit more than most. I reckon this is largely due to the superb quality stand and perhaps general build quality. Who wants a flimsy light weight stand? The monitor surround is quite small so it is very unobtrusive despite providing 27 inches of screen. Power users could use 2 side by side with little gap between the usable screens. It's a personal thing but for me 2560 x 1440 pixels on a 27 inch screen seems to be the sweet spot. Any less resolution would impair productivity, a much bigger screen I found is unpleasant to use and an eyesore on one's desk. And for my eyesight 4K on a 27 inch screen would be too tiny to comfortably read text. The other problem I had with 4K was I had to upgrade my linux video card, my mini mac couldn't handle it so no more photo processing, my apple mac could almost handle it but became very slow and noisy.Haven't tried gaming or film watching. The inputs are fairly limited compared with some monitors but are fine for my needs. In summary : I love it (though only had it a week so can't comment on longevity but it looks and feels good quality).

HP WQHD 27 inch monitor
This purchase is for work at home. Has an adjustable stand that is very sturdy. Excellent screen quality. Not tried gaming on this monitor. Lot of connectivity options and you get HDMI cable with dell HDMI connector for laptop so don’t order as separate accessory.

Beautiful business monitor
The matt finish screen is amazing. Very sturdy stand with plenty of adjustments and a host of connectivity options. Can't fault it.
