Works great
I have held on to my Japanese-made base that I bought in the 80's after the lid broke about 15 years ago. I was skeptical after reading reviews that said the bowl was too tight with this replacement assembly but I finally took a chance. People were correct in that the bowl was so tight that my husband had to brace the base while I forced the bowl on, praying that it would not break. After two nearly marriage-ending uses, I put Crisco on the tabs of the base and now it slides on and off with little effort, even after washing the bowl. Works great and I am glad to have my machine back.
