Excellent USB C Adapter
I was on my third attempt to find a USB C power attachment adapter for my new laptop that I was happy with. This adapter exceeded my expectations and provides for a very small adapter on the laptop and then a flexible multiple angle adapter for the power cord. The magnetic connection is strong enough for normal laptop movements and in the event that the connection is broken by some movement, it's a simple magnetic reconnection.

Excellent little addition to my phone
I love this device. It keeps dirt out of the charging port which has always been a problem for me. The USB c fits snugly in my phone and doesn't come out when I pull the cord. It just barely sticks out past my phone cover so it doesn't really add any length to the phone. The magnets are strong enough that when I put the ends near each other they snap together, they disconnect easily. But they are strong enough that it will pull the phone if not holding it. The swivel head is nice when I'm laying in bed changing it and scrolling. My only negative comment is that the connecting part is a little wide and got in the way of phone case, (I have a Z fold phone) and I couldn't close the phone the last 1% and it pushed the back of my case out a tiny bit. But just a second or 2 with my Dremel and a sanding bit and I was able to fix the case.

Tiny Adapter, Big Convenience
These magnetic adapters make charging so much easier and help reduce wear on charging ports. The rotating design is especially helpful when using devices while plugged in. Strong magnetic connection and fast charging performance so far. Definitely a useful little tech upgrade.

I wish I had discovered these long ago...
I really do wish I'd seen magnetic USB-C plugs long ago. The USB-C jack on my iPad wore out from the stresses I put on it from stretching the cord or getting it caught on something. This type of adapter would have accomplished two things: it would have let the cord go straight down toward the floor rather than sticking straight out the side, and it would have popped off if I put too much stress on it. This little adapter is not big or heavy, and though it has a round base, it doesn't take up much room. I note that the 90 degree piece has a tiny light that indicates it is connected. Pretty neat. This device (in combination with a magnetic charging device) has resurrected my iPad Pro, which I had given up on. The magnetic charging device worked for a while, but its USB-C jack got messed up just like the iPad's. But with this hinged magnetic adapter, I decided to get another one because I know I won't damage the jack. My iPad Pro is back in business.

Will destroy your electronics
Do not use this product for anything of value. I attempted to use this product to charge my steam deck as I wanted to preserve the integrity of the USB C charge port. Keep in mind im using the stock charging block and cable. Upon 1st connection the white charge LED briefly illuminated and went out. Seeing as this was unusual removed charger and mag charge adaptors. Plugged back in direct usbc and no charge led. Device no longer powers on. Further troubleshooting has ruled that the motherboard and CPU are fried. Currently working with amazon customer service on a solution. Review may be improved slightly depending on outcome but very upsetting that even when used within operating standards catastrophic failure can occur. Throwing the darn things away.

Great concept and build, but data connections are unreliable
I really wanted to love these magnetic adapters. On the surface, they check all the boxes: the 90 degree swivel is super convenient for watching videos or charging in tight spaces, and the magnetic break-away feature works exactly as advertised to prevent cable damage. They work perfectly for charging your phone or tablet when you aren't moving data. However, the dealbreaker for me is data transfer. Whenever I try to connect my phone to my car or a computer for data, the connection becomes incredibly finicky. The magnetic link seems just a bit too sensitive, causing the data connection to drop randomly and frequently. It’s frustrating to have to keep adjusting the angle just to maintain a sync. If you only need them for charging and media consumption, they’re a solid 5-star product. But for anyone needing reliable data transfer, I can only give them 3 stars until the magnetic stability for data is improved.

Perfect charging solution
Man these things are awesome! The 360 degree rotation, the never having to unplug and plug a cord back in, it's slim and unnoticeable, what's not to like about it! Actually the only con I can think of is the part that plugs into the phone is magnetic, which attracts ferrous particles. Silly putty does wonders cleaning them pesky particles off, great little tip. They have no noticeable drop in charging capabilities, I'm unsure of data transfer tho. It does not come with a cable, so you'll need your own. Throw a good quality cable and it'll charge fast. I bought it because my charging port was wearing out and it fixed that easy. Just plug it in and put the bit in the phone and that's it.

This is a slick product
We have an Apple Neo laptop with a USB-C power connector. This makes it charge similar to a higher-end Apple laptop magnetic charger.

Good product, does what it claims: delivers 240W without degrading/interfering with charging
Excellent product that actually DOES work with high-wattage charging cables. Not all do. Competing products I've sourced from Amazon do the mag-safe thing fine, but stop my Yoga 9i from charging: they don't enable the USB-C cable to deliver required power. When that happens charging isn't just slow: it stops altogether. Also the inset plug you insert into the laptop USB port is easy to remove. Some, once installed, become quite challenging to remove. This mag-safe connector offers 360-degree range of motion; my other ones do not. That makes cable placement safer (closer to the laptop, not hanging out) and less likely to get caught on passing clothes or objects. I like that. THIS MAG-SAFE CONNECTOR WORKS. Buy with confidence.

No problems with PD negotiation and power; data transfer as expected; 9-pins
What's included: - USB-C magnetic adapter PD 240W (2 pack) - Plastic removal tool The USB-C magnetic adapters by VOFOTON work well and based on my testing provide the appropriate PD negotiation and flow through without issues. Data transfer rates are at USB 2.0 speeds. Also please note that these adapters do NOT offer video flow through. The adapters are made of a combination of metal and plastic and weigh 5 grams each. The length of each adapter is 4cm roughly. Because of their construction I keep these adapters attached to the metal legs of my desk thanks to their magnetic properties. The adapter consists of two parts, the base and the head. The base has a 9-pin connector which works very well and the base is the part with the female USB-C port. Also, at the elbow of the base, its possible to swing the top part of the base 180 degrees which allows for configuration into virtually any circumstance. The other part of the adapter is the head with the male USB-C tip. Because of the way this tip sits on the base, the tip can rotate 360 degrees and so in addition to the 180 degree ability of the base, this is how the listing states a total of 540 degrees. This setup really allows for attaching to a USB-C port at virtually any angle and in tight spots. Furthermore, there two great benefits to the design of this adapter. First, its not necessary to always plug and unplug a cable into something like your phone for charging which can cause problems with the port the more you are plugging and unplugging a charging cable into it. I simply just keep the head in the USB-C port of my cell phone and the base connected to the charging cable and when I wish to charge my phone, I just connect the two pieces, This brings me to the second main benefit of the adapter and that is, it prevents one from having to put unnecessary stress on one's charging cable. No more having to plug the cable in at awkward angles etc. Because of the 540 spin and rotation, I just let the adapter do the turning and bending so the charging cable does not - great for the cable! I tested the performance of the adapter two ways to evaluate data transfer speed. First, I created a 10GB file of all zeros to calculate the transfer speed based on a real world environment of my PC. The second method I used was to use a third party's software to evaluate speeds at the 8 GB level for both the read and write of a particularly fast SSD so it would not be the bottleneck in the test. The tests were performed both with and without the adapter. I found that under both circumstances (with or without the adapter) the transfer speeds were as expected and this tells me that the adapter does not represent an issue when it comes to data transfer speeds. To evaluate PD negotiation and power I used a power block as well as a cable and end destination phone. Here too I found power and PD negotiation with the adapter attached to work well and not have any adverse impacts during the charging process. Overall, performance worked as expected. I did try to see if video would work but it did not so running a thunderbolt cable from my laptop through to a monitor did not result in any video being displayed on the monitor. There is also a small plastic tool that is available if needed to remove the head. One thing that I would suggest being a little cautious with is which devices this adapter is used with since some USB-C ports are deeper than others and taking out the tip (head) maybe a slight challenge. That's when you may need to reach for the plastic tool provided, but in any event if using the tool or not, be somewhat cautious when removing the tip or you may find it on the floor and difficult to find. Overall, this adapter works well. The 9-pin system is terrific and the magnet is very, very good. PD negotiation is great and data transfer speeds are what is expected. Power is also good and not impacted by the adapter when charging. There are two adapters in the package with a noted PD of 240 W which I was not able to measure fully however what I did test worked well. These are also quite useful in protecting USB-C ports and so they are worth the small investment and I do consider them an investment especially if they can be used to protect laptop and phone ports. Pretty good value. Cheers,

Magnet could be stronger.
Works as advertised, if magnet were twice as strong it would be 5 star.

Handy for safe charging.
They work as advertised, but the magnets aren’t very strong and will often disconnect under the weight of high quality USB-C cables.

Excellent adapter — strong magnet, clean design, and protects your device ports
I was looking for a convenient magnetic adapter for my laptop and phone, and this set really impressed me. The magnetic connection is firm but not too aggressive — it snaps into place perfectly and detaches smoothly if the cable is pulled, which saves both the cable and the device port from wear and tear. The build quality feels solid and premium. The rotation design is genuinely useful — the head spins freely, and the base can fold, making it super flexible for tight spaces or awkward charging angles. I use one on my phone and another on my laptop, and it’s been flawless with both. Charging speed has been the same as plugging in directly — I tested it with a 100W charger, and there was no noticeable power loss or heating. The little purple LED indicator is a nice touch — subtle, not overly bright. It helps confirm when the connection is active. The included removal tool is handy, though I haven’t needed it yet since the tip fits snugly but not tightly enough to get stuck. The only small limitation is that it doesn’t support video output — so if you plan to connect to a monitor via USB-C, this won’t work for that. But for power and data transfer, it’s perfect. Overall, this is a smart and reliable adapter that adds both convenience and protection. It’s great value for what it does, and it’s one of those small accessories you don’t realize you needed until you start using it every day.
