Pathological Demand Avoidance Explained

Great Tool for Discussion
This book was a great tool for me & my son. It helped him to clarify his feelings on his PDA. Helps me to understand him so much better. I'm highly visual so the memes help me understand him better. We are in the early stages of diagnosis and this is a great tool for that.

Quick easy PDA info Highy Recommended!
As a parent of a PDA child, I highly recommend this book. It is a quick read, with pages with quick bits of info with graphics that give some info and insight into how and why the writer feels in certain situations, what might trigger something, why a person with PDA may react a certain way, etc. Although I am very familiar with PDA and the why's, it is a good book to look through as a reminder on the tough days that PDA is all about an anxiety response. Definitely worth the money, and would highly recommend.

Informative, good for young people/beginners
A great insight into PDA! However a typo/double print on a couple of pages. Would recommended but could be better published.

Not so worth it
I didn't find this very worth it or educational to help with a family member with pda. I got a book on declarative language instead which is actually helpful to teach how to handle it.The artwork in this book is also borderline disturbing. I do not care for the drawings at all. They are unpleasant to look at

What did I just read?
I don't even know where to start with this. I bought it because my 12 year old wanted some insight on her PDA, but good God! Let's start with the illustrations - "rough" would be the kindest thing I could say - nightmare inducing is more appropriate. Content is not much better. I supposed if your kid really can't explain how they feel - this might give you SOME sort of insight, but it's basically 75 pages of someone talking about why they don't like to do things, and why they have PDA. There are no real solutions or advice for kids - not even one page of "things that can help" or "try this" - nothing. In a nutshell, I paid 16 bucks and some shipping for reallllllly horribly drawn photos and the same thing my kid says to me on a daily basis. Skip this one - or hey, I'll sell you mine.
