kills where sedge hammer leaves off
I have a sedge problem in the backyard. I have used Ortho Nut Sedge Ready to spray, Sedge Ender, Sedge Hammer and finally this. The Ortho worked well the very first time, but when sprouts came back the following Spring, 2 repeat sprayed failed to do anything. Then I moved on to Sedge Ender. The first application killed most of the sedge, but them they all came back 2 weeks later. Repeated applications of Sedge Ender didn't do anything. Moving on to Sedge Hammer. This stuff works slow. I won't see any change for up to 7-10 days. Then by the time the old ones are dead, new sprouts came up so I would need to spray the stuff every other week. Then I saw this. Sprayed it twice and it kills the Sedge within 2-3 days. This also didn't hurt the bermuda grass I have in the backyard. Now, it could be that I have different sedge and that's why the other stuff stopped working. But Sedge is hard to get rid of and I have been spraying almost constantly for last past 2 years and I'm still getting them back, until now. We'll see in 2-3 weeks if new ones sprout out.

This Product Works as Advertised.
I've had a terrible problem with Nutsedge and Virginia Buttonweed that not even a commercial lawn care company could deal with. Buttonweed is extremely pernicious because most herbicides will not kill off the roots, so it always comes back. I tried Weed Free Zone in spot treatment and that killed everything including the grass. So on the recommendation of a local nursery (in South Louisiana), I tried Image. Their recommendation was to use it in +90 degree conditions, which we have every day in the summer. This product works! I have a variety of grasses, including St. Aug, centipede, zoysia, and bermuda. It stunted the growth, but did not kill, all of these, except the bermuda, where it displayed no perceptible impact at all. It took one to two weeks for the weeds to begin showing stress, and three to five weeks for the complete die off, just as the instructions predicted. Also per the instructions, a second treatment of the buttonweed was necessary in some areas. But bottom line, you can use this product on your lawn and still have a lawn left afterwards (assuming proper mix and application).

Works Good
Usually take a couple of tries but the product gets the job done in controlling nutsedge. Best product I found and keep available for usage during the seasons.

Great stuff
When used as instructed, this weed killer turns the leaves of the nutgrass weed brown and shrinks the “nut” considerably. Over time there are fewer new growth of the sledge nuts. Easy to mix then spray on weeds; if any gets on nearby plants they do not appear to be adversely affected. Great stuff!

Half a bottle of product missing ! CANCEL REVIEW !!#!!
I did not like the fact that I was short almost half a bottle of Image product. The cap had black tape on it and it was layered in 3 wrappings. There appears to be no leak anywhere on bottle. I think I received a batch with a short amount of liquid. I would like another container of Image - at least half a bottle of product - sent to me. Only reason for low rating is due to missing ounces of product. This is my first time buying Image, so I will see what this product will do on lawn and will review again later.*******PLEASE CANCEL THIS REVIEW ! *******My error, this Image bottle was a 24 oz product. I should have read information more carefully. I guess reading is fundamental.

Simple..It does not work.
I have a severe nuts hedge problem due to old farm land that my home (and neighborhood) are built on. I have fought nut grass for 40 years and so far we are about even. If I pull it up and dig up the roots and nuts it goes away till the next year then any nut I missed, well it's back! Very severe now so I had hoped this stuff would work. I mixed it as instructed and applied via hand sprayer as the nut grass is in my bermuda grass lawn. This stuff did not even make it sick!! In areas it killed the bermuda so I have large dead grass spots that I will have to replant. The nut grass that was there turned a little yellow but now has returned in full force! I had a large patch of crabgrass in my back yard so I decided to soak it with this stuff. Did not even turn it yellow. Use at your own risk it may kill your lawn. Oh, I had one area that was solid nut grass..did nothing.UPDATE: I tired double strength and still it barely made the nutgrass angry. Turned a bit yellow, but then kept on growing.

Looks Good So far
I did a test section first and found that it did not harm my grass. It took about a week and it turned yellow. I let it grow up and sprayed all. It has been mowed after a few days and is not growing back fast. More applications will be required I am sure.
