Crown Mark Side Table, 24 in x 12 in x 24 in, Brown

As a warning to other shoppers interested in this table and similar items. I purchased this from one of the sellers listed as alternatives in the listing. Unfortunately, when I checked the Amazon Marketplace, I discovered that that seller had only a 78% positive rating and was not one that I'd have chosen if I'd had gone into the marketplace and looked at the ratings. Complaints were various including delivering the wrong item, delivering damaged goods, late delivery and poor customer service. Their BBB record was quite similar. Despite all that, my table arrived well within the time alotted by Amazon and was in good condition.It should be noted that the table and shelf are partical board with a wood veneer. It is not dificult to drive a screw into. I bought two of these and only one of the seven screws proved to be difficult to drive. Being partical board, it is fairly easy to strip out the screw hole by over tightening so I'd not recommend predrilling the shelf unless one of the screws proves to be difficult to drive.It is the shelf and those four screws that add strength to this table. I'd highly recommend NOT following the suggestion of several other reviewers of skipping the step of screwing the shelf to the legs. Those screws are critical to the structure of the table. It is necessary to tighten them sufficiently that there is no movement of the shelf when you attempt to push it out of position.When properly assembled, this table is quite strong. I sat on it with my 150 pounds and rocked back and forth on the table with no evidence of structural weakness. Given the structure of the legs, I was surprised at the strength of this table.As with all items assembled with multiple fasteners, it is a very good idea to move from fastening point to fastening point and slowly tighten each fastener a bit more each time. This allows the table to settle into an arrangement that provides the greatest strength to the table.As reported, this table is quite small, but it is perfect for an end table used to hold a lamp and providing a place to put drinks. Given the one foot width of the table and its' height, I'd be sure to place where there is little likelyhood of bumping into it and knocking it over.This is a very good little table and well worth the very low asking price. It is both good looking and surprisingly strong. Highly recommend to those who need a small table and find it difficult to justify the cost of a real wood tables costing well over a hundred dollars.

It was super easy to put together

This is a great little table for the money (~$35, with Prime shipping).Pros:(1) attractive(2) sturdy (we've got a 5 gallon aquarium on our table - that's about 70 lbs, and it's holding very well, no concerns)(3) inexpensive(4) very easy (and quick) to assemble (note: you may need an electric drill to drill pilot holes for the screws that hold the bottom shelf, but that's no big deal for most people)(5) shipped immediately (we had Prime shipping, but I've found some items still come faster than others, and this item came less than two business days from my order placement)Cons:None really (see notes)Notes:(1) it's very nice and sturdy for the price, but do not expect a $400 piece of furniture for this price. I'd say that you get more than what you pay for here, but it is what it is.(2) ours had some very, very small nicks in one or two legs - not an issue and can easily be repaired or covered up with a stain pen or even permanent marker (don't expect perfection unless you're willing to spend hundreds more, and even then furniture is rarely perfect)

Confused by the reviews, I didn't know what I would get. Some reviewers said it was cheap particle board, others said solid wood. The answer is it is a hybrid. The legs, top and shelf appear to be solid wood. Skirts and other trim are particle board. It went together easily, although I noticed some of the positioning was not as precise as a machine would make it. This makes no difference on the table's ability to do its function; it stands perfectly well and solid on carpet or laminate floor. I had no trouble installing the bottom shelf. I held the parts together by hand and used a power screwdriver to drill and partially screw the shelf to the supports. I made sure not to over-tighten with the power tool and did the final tightening by hand. The top is plastic, not marble, and should be treated as plastic. Don't get it wet; use a coaster for drinks, be careful of cutting or scraping. Don't put heavy weights on it. I have a phone, papers and magazines on it. It fits the space I have for it in my home office perfectly and looks good, too. Definitely worth the price.

I purchased 2 of these to go oin each side of my love seat in my RV. They are the perfect size & weight for my 5th wheel that I reside in full time. I place a coaster on each to protect the top. I also purchased the TV tray set & tall plant stands to match the faux marble tops of all the items & it looks very elegant. I have a Pomeranian female puppy that does not bother my plants on the tall plant stands. I had a Cherry wood electric fireplace & a real marble top & Cherry woof dining buffet & all the items I ordered match my existing pieces of furniture & I get lots oif compliments of how elegant it looks. I sold my large home, but can still have beauty in my RV. I no longer take my RV on the road, so I am set up on a permanent basis & several of us live here at the Resort & love our life!! It is well worth the money & was easy to assemble.

Easy to assemble, great for the price. Faux marble is shiny and very pretty.

This table is great! First of all it was very well packaged with hard cardboard corner protectors and the right amount of styrofoam so that it wouldn't get damaged. I was worried about the marble top in shipping but it arrived intact with no chips, dents or scratches. The table's well made, sturdy, attractive and very easy to assemble. I'm a 55 year old female with arthritis in my hands and I was able to assemble it myself in about 10-15 minutes while sitting in a recliner with no problem. 1 screw for each leg with an allen wrench which was included and 4 screws for the bottom shelf with a philips screwdriver. That's it. Simple. I may buy another one for a different room.

Only questionable part was no holes in lower shelf so we had to use a drill before we could finish assembly. Instructions do not show holes either. Very strange. Lovely when assembled. Very sturdy. Soft warm color.
