Works great, the magnets are strong enough to be knocked around a little bit, and not come off the register.

This is very light-weight, and the magnets are very strong. The catch with the magnets is, they are only effective from the skinny "sandwich" sides, not the long flat sides - so as it's built, it has to "hug" the vent (as seen in the product photo).In my case, I purchased this because I needed a very long deflector to place over the vent directly over my head at work, which was blowing the air conditioning right at me; the "hug" wasn't an option so I had to remove the magnets from their clips, rotate them 90 degrees, and "fasten" them back on with... well, twistie ties and rubber bands. This improvised solution is holding, and it's clipped quite nicely to the vent and ductwork on the ceiling above.The catch is, the two little plastic clips holding the magnets on are tight and fragile, and they could easily break. A co-worker of mine bought this as well intending to do the same thing, and he broke one of the clips. Not necessarily the product's fault, as it's not its intended use - but worth noting if anyone else considers the same.The plastic itself is lightweight and holds itself together well, but I would expect it to crack/break easily if subjected to any kind of serious force or stress.

It fits perfectly on my longer floor vent. sturdy plastic but the only thing that seems wrong is the magnets don't stick as well to the metal vent as I would like to. Occasionally falls off on a daily schedule. Otherwise it fits great with the extensions, shipping was very quick and item was not broke or cracked as stated in other reviews. Packed very well in its original box with bubble packs inside.

These worked perfectly for what I needed them for. My master bedroom is on the opposite end of the house from the Furnace and A/C unit and I wasn't getting enough heat or cool air in my room. Then I purchased new curtains (from Amazon) that are blackout and thermal, and the problem was only going to get worse. This was the PERFECT solution. I simply fold the end over the top of the deflector and now I feel the cool air and heat where I want to feel it. On me, instead of on my curtains on on the windows! It worked so good, I purchased another for the guest bedroom where the curtains fall to the floor. Arrived in perfect condition!

So after reading the reviews I was worried that these would be complete junk.However there arnt many options for this type of baseboard vent, Well just got 3 of them. They were boxed well and packaged correctly and were not broken. The plastic is heavy duty and the magnets are solid. They had a bit of tension when I slide them open like I expected so they wont fall apart. I installed them on 3 vents, some painted metal and some not. All the magnets are holding solid and working fine.Like any other heating deflector I would not recommend hitting or bumping into them, however I am extremely happy with this purchase.So due yourself a favor and pick these up and be glad :-)Update:So now these can be gotten not as an add on, they used to be 5.99, now they are over $11 with prime shipping. Well just needed one more. This time the shipping was USPS and the box was crushed and it took days to get. Now its back to add on item, so not the heck what is going on. Still seems to work and it wasnt damaged. Not happy with the higher price, then a few days after I got it, the price went back down.

I don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a product than I have with this one, to the point that I finally gave up trying to work with it and threw it out. I purchased it because I couldn't find anything else online that attempted to solve my problem of diffusing the air on a long, narrow 1930's wall vent, at floor height, under a window. I have floor length drapery and wanted something to hold the hemline away from the vent at night, when I closed the drapery, so as not to block the return air flow through the grill. I tried to attach it to the louvers themselves, as well as trying to insert it just behind the top of the grill, but it wouldn't hold. It kept falling off. In order to adjust the length, I purchased the additional, recommended extension. It kept coming apart. I even used clear packaging tape, which held it together, but it looked tacky and the plastic was flimsy and wouldn't keep its shape. The magnets and edge piece on both ends did not work in my work in my favor; they were just another obstruction for me. I even taped the entire thing to the wall, to try to allow enough air flow underneath the deflector and to keep the drapery away from the wall, but that solution failed as well. I'm usually resourceful when it comes to modifying something to make it effective, but in this case I failed.

These work well when they are positioned correctly on my baseboard registers, and I have them all over the house. However, they don't stay on well. The magnets are not strong enough, and don't make enough contact with the metal of the register, because the plastic that holds the magnet gets in the way. My solution: I bought some neodymium magnets that are rectangular bars, with the strongest pull through the sides. I put those on the sides of the registers, and then positioned the deflectors over the registers with the deflector magnets over the edges, instead of on the register metal. So the deflector magnets are touching and held by the neodymium magnets and the deflectors stay on tightly.They need stronger magnets, that are fastened to the deflector differently, to work without extra magnets.

These work very well for deflecting air conditioning from behind our sofa. The magnets are very strong, so that is a plus. However, the plastic is very brittle. I broke a piece of one trying to put it on the first time. Thankfully, it still fits on the vent. So, just be careful when attaching them.

It was exactly what I needed. But it was slightly damaged on arrival.Everything has been taken care of by the provider. We’re good with the results.Thanks for checking in.Regards,Richard clarke

I had this on for 1 day and it completely melted into my baseboard heater. Obviously not meant for baseboards.. maybe cold air.Do not recommend.

Plastique trop mince, ne tient pas en place et le joint entre les deux parties ne tient pas ensemble. Je déconseille ce produit.
