Excellent fun for the money
Having see a friends Dji Mavic Mini I was determined to get my own drone. However, acknowledging that it may just be a fad I was reluctant to spend a monkey on something I might only ever charge up once. I shopped around, did a bit of research, and found the Simrex X11. The price was impressive at just £139 as of writing. The drone arrived next day. Expected size. Nicely packaged. Comes with some spare props (if that is the correct term), a screwdriver, charging cable, battery, camera and of course drone itself. I noticed the battery came with half a charge but I thought I would read the instructions first. As others have mentioned, the instructions are pony. Some bits of text are even completely made up words. However, using a bit of common sense, YouTube, Google and the pictures in the guide the device can be setup and ready to fly within an hour.Remember to register with the CAA (at least in the U.K.) as the drone is over the 249g limit and therefore one is required by law to register as both an operator and flyer. You will also need to make sure anybody else who wants to fly the drone you own has a Flyer ID. All of this can be obtained quite easily via the UK CAA website. Just google CAA Drone licence follow the instructions.Anyway, once the drone is up it is quite excellent. Once I downloaded the Simrex X11 app to my mobile the streaming to my Android phone was flawless. I have so far got up as high as 60 metres, and the view is breath-taking. Having said that the camera is not excellent in my opinion. It’s good but just not excellent. Then again, the drone is under 140 sovs so what do you want.Stability in the air seems spot on to me. This is my first drone but nevertheless when it is up in 5kmh winds at 60 metres it appeared, to my eyesight at least, to hold a stationary position. I could not see it moving around at all. It’s quite nippy and can out-run a human any day of the week. The auto-return home works well as does the emergency landing (don’t test that from too high up or you will likely break your drone). The charge seems to last a good 25 minutes for me. I bought another battery the next day which I actually thought was a bit pricey at £50 but it makes it much more fun.All in all I would recommend this drone to anybody wanting a fairly good taste of drone flying withing going all in, first time, on a £500 to £1500 dust collector.

Please don't buy
Right where can I start with this product, after a couple days using, one day I was flying and drone did not return back. I panicked as it was above houses and I didn't want it to cause any damage to people and properties so flying where I was a bad choice. I have flew drone many times it was fine quiet fun actually. Anyway I ended up losing Drone in someone's back garden or somewhere I could reach or locate. I contacted simrex they kindly offer me a replacement and actually offered me the better model which is worth a little more. I waited post arrive quickly as described only to find they sent same product as a replacement free of costs. I was a little annoyed as expected new mosel x20 or something like that. After a week of using this product I've realised it's not stable and will lose connection so u can't return home feature as this also flew away not to return. Luckily I saw where it landed but as I apoached I reiased it was in a small stream of water and now don't turn on as got soaked. I will only say buy a proper drone that will cost ya £400-3K. I've learnt my lesson and will only buy better drone

Fantastic for the price. Cant wait to get it back in the air
Everything was well packaged . Just needed the props and prop guards fitting. The instructions were a bit confusing for a first timer but once Id read through them they made sense. The Simrex website has some useful videos and there a few on YouTube that go through the setup procedure. The camera is super stable and the gimbal works really well. The camera vertical angle can be adjusted from the remote from horizontal to straight down. Maybe the camera / gimbal would be better in black as the grey looks a bit cheap compared to the rest of the drone. Then again you don't see this once its flying. The phone app was easily downloaded and setup - found the drone via wifi easily and duplicates the remote controls with the benefit of camera view / google maps view .GPS looked pretty accurate. No signal indoors as expected but once in the wide outdoors, it picked up the location quickly.First flight. Wow its fast powerful. Took a good video on the short flight. Had a bit of a prang landing......….but top marks to Simrex customer service. They were quick to respond to my queries and sorted things out !
