Este libro si bien en apariencia no es muy gordo, tiene sí mucho contenido. Me sorprendió gratamente!Se centra en la obra de 9 ceramistas contemporáneos que trabajan con la figura humana. Hay un capítulo por artista y una muy buena introducción sobre la historia de la figuración en la cerámica hasta la actualidsad.En cada capítulo cada artista va describiendo su historia personal con la cerámica y las razones de sus métodos y selecciones estilísticas. Luego hay un paso a paso con fotos de como realiza una obra de ppio. a fin, e incluye las f'rmulas de pastas y esmaltes usados!Al final del capítulo cada artista selecciona una galería de otros artistas contemporáneos que recomienda. Livre acheté sur amazon, il m'est parvenu en une semaine environ puisque commandé en Angleterre.Super prix pour ce livre qui explique très clairement les techniques de modelage par boudins. Les commentaires sont en anglais mais les photos sont parfaitement claires et de belles qualités. Je le conseille vivement !!!

Although the title would lead you think that the book is just about the human form, the book expands from literal representation and takes a broad approach to the subject, embracing figurative and abstract ceramic forms. It's a good technical reference for sources of inspiration and modeling; now they need a sequel about firing!
