First of all, this is a BIG litter box. While that is a plus for our situation, it may not be for everyone. Be aware that it takes a lot of litter to fill the box, and if you don’t use lightweight litter, it gets heavy. You also need the space to place it. Pay attention to the measurements in the description, they’re accurate.The box arrived well-packaged, but the bottom of the pan was slightly bowed inwards in the middle. We were initially concerned that it would move when our cat stepped in it and she was get scared, but once we put the little in, it leveled out and is not an issue.Helpful accessories are included with the box (see photos). The toys didn’t interest my cat (but she’s over 20 years old, a younger cat would likely show interest). The scoop has larger gaps and a shorter handle than we prefer, but is a thoughtful addition. The non-slip pads are a nice addition as well, although we don’t need them where the box is located. The litter mat, to reduce tracking, is, for us, the most valuable addition.But the most important part of the review is how well the product works. For us, it’s working great.Our older cat is not as limber and graceful as she once was, and she frequently ends up stepping in what she just left in the box. Then she tracks it all over the floor. She also doesn’t control her tail as well as she used to, so she’s learned to drape it over the edge of the box to keep it clean as she does her business. Consequently, she sometimes overshoots the edge, and not everything lands in the box.This larger box gives her more room to move, and so far she has not tracked any surprises outside the box since she started using it. The snap-on lid provides higher sides that, so far, have prevented any out-of-the-box accidents. The tracking may is catching the loose litter, and we are noticing a LOT less litter in the area around her box.This box is proving a huge,five-star success for us, and for our cat, so far.One final thought regarding the box’s size. You need to scoop frequently to keep the litter fresh so that you won’t have to do a full replacement as often. If you are not able to scoop often, this may not be the best choice for you. Replacing all the litter in the box on a frequent basis will get expensive pretty quickly.But if you have to space to place it, and the time to keep it scooped, this box is an excellent choice.This is an impartial Vine review of a complementary product.

I've tried covered literbox, it didn't get used as often as my vegetable garden, this open top litter bin gets used much more regularly. Too late my vegetables though, maybe Vine will offer up a bulldozer and fresh topsoil. This bin takes a bunch of litter to fill sufficiently to prevent exposing the bottom during a burial, but the sides are sufficiently high to capture the flingings of a cat eager to put the past behind. The top rim adds that extra height. The plastic rim piece feels cheap and flimsy and the stainless steel bin is very thin, but once the rim snaps onto the bin the whole thing becomes quite sturdy and has a nice feel to it. It comes with good sized and good quality stick-on foot-pads that are large enough to distribute the forces without bending the bin, just make sure those get put on right away while everything is clean and smooth. It also comes with a cheap sifter scoop that i probably would have immediately tossed for being so small, except that it has a built-in hook so that i can hang it on the rim inside the bin, so litter stays in the litterbox. Good thinking on the sifter scoop, just wish it was a bit better quality. I have a better one anyway which is exactly the right size for a sandwich baggie with double zip seal, i may 3dprint a hook for that one.

I got this Large Capacity Stainless Steel Litter Box to replace the plastic litter box that my two cats have been sharing for the past three years. Now that they are older, I needed a larger box that they would continue to use. I just can't deal with two litter boxes. I'm very happy with the lower maintenance and increased durability of this box. I highly recommend this high quality litter box.The interior of the metal box measures: 22" L x 15''W x 6''H. Capacity: 36 L which reduces the need for frequent cleaning. No Odor Adsorption: Solid stainless steel box does not hold odors like plastic boxes do. Also easier to clean with soap and water.Urine Leak Prevention for my boy cat: The XL large litter box includes a top section that tightly overlaps the bottom, greatly reducing the possibility of urine leaking out. Even my active cats cannot remove it, and the lid provides privacy. They used to sit on the edge and pee or poop outside of my previous box. They aren't able to do that with this box. I'm looking forward to less mess!Nice Accessories: Filter litter mat with honeycomb-shaped cushions are double-layered to collect litter from your cat's paws, keeping your floors clean and saving on litter usage. Also includes a litter scoop and two bell fish toys that both my finicky cats are loving playing with. These extras were a nice bonus!

The things I like:*Far easier to clean*No lingering smell if cleaned well---but again--far easier to clean*Continues to look good/new-no scratches like the plastic boxes*This litter box is the exact same size of my old plastic one---I considered both to be XL*Lots of extras included--cat toys and a small scoop with a place to hang the scoop-although I prefer a larger scoop. A litter catching rug that I LOVE and already own several because they work so well.*An enclosed top to prevent litter from scattering everywhereThe one thing I would change:*I wouldn't add the litter catching ledge to the top of the box (the enclosure). It's a small strip of cutouts to allow the litter to pass through as the cat is leaving the litter box. However, with my cat she enters headfirst, does her business in that same position and her "business" get stuck on and in that strip of cutouts. It's a mess to clean because it gets stuck in those little cutouts. I finally learned I needed to put a piece of duct tape over those cutouts so I can easily remove the mess then add another piece of duct tape for next time. It is extra work. And perhaps my cat is the only cat that does her business this way, but it is what it is. Plus, bottom line, I would still rather do this extra work and have the metal box over the plastic box.

These boxes are sturdy, long-lasting, easy to clean, and effectively minimize odours.Reasons I find this litter box amazing:- Extra-large size that comfortably fits even the biggest cats.- Choice to use an extender or not.- Stainless steel is tough, enduring, odour-resistant, and will last.- The non-stick surface resists residue accumulation and is simple to wipe clean.- A tall 6-inch base is perfect for cats that urinate while standing or enjoy scattering litter around.I can't express enough positive things about this litter box. It’s exceptionally well-crafted and offers a variety of configurations. Although it’s not the cheapest option, it’s a worthwhile investment to enhance your quality of life and eliminate daily hassles. I highly recommend it with a 10/10 rating!

Extra spacious, well made, sturdy metal that doesn't scratch easily and super easy to clean. Comes with scoop and litter mat. Wet litter comes off easily from the bottom, but will stick if left to dry (I use pea protein based litter). This is not a deal-breaker for me and I don't know how it performs with other types of litter.I absolutely love the size and the high rims. No more pee over the edge! Lightweight too, washes in minutes and dries super quickly! It doesn't hold smells after washing like plastic litters do.

This steel litter box is excellent. It's large and sturdy and the lip around the edge helps to keep litter inside where it belongs and the deep matt is great at collecting stray litter pieces off paws before they are tracked everywhere. It's so easy to clean, I don't know why litter boxes were ever made of plastic when this is so much simpler. Litter slides right out, and if needed, can be rinsed out cleanly. The included little toys were also immediate favourites and I appreciate that there are two so they didn't have to share. Overall, I'm really very happy with this litter box. It works great.

Litter box comes with the steel base, a plastic side extension, a plastic scooper, a pad for their paws after using, and 2 cat toys. The cat toys were unexpected and our two cats loved them. The stainless steel litter box we are using to replace our plastic one. On initial use, the stainless steel one is at least so far, way easier to clean and scoop compared to the old plastic alternative. The side extension is nice to keep the area clean, and the paw pad seems like it’s catching any stray litter as they exit. The scooper is doing its job, but is a bit flimsy. I will probably be swapping it out for a separate one. Overall am happy with swapping out our old plastic litter box for this new steel one. It seems like it should last a long time and be easy to scoop as nothing attaches to the litter box itself, and should be easier to deep clean as well.

This litter box is great to clean. Easy to keep clean and smell down compared to plastic ones.The box comes with high sides already, but also the removable ones.If you have a male cat who over-pees the box, this is a perfect box for you.Great for adult sized cats.
