Sturdy and works great
I've been using these bucket traps for several years now and I love them. The snap traps I have found that mice know how to avoid them, but for some strange reason mice love to climb and flop into a bucket. I am not a mouse and I certainly do not understand! I have also used several different brands of these traps and this one is top quality. Others I have used do not fit on the bucket well and are flimsy so that it binds the trap allowing the mice to jump up and down on the trap all they want and the door will not open to drop the mouse in the bucket. Here are my thoughts on this mouse trap:PROS:1) The plastic is a thick plastic that holds it shape when pushed onto the bucket. It will not bind the door.2) It has grooves for the hood to press into making the hood attach very solid. Again, not allowing the lid to warp.3) The tabs push into the notches hard. Once the tabs are set into the holes they are not coming back out without a fight.4) The lid fits onto the bucket securely and has a good fit.5) With a little peanut butter it will catch mice. I fill the bucket half way up with water to drown the mice. Sorry, I am not releasing them so they can run back into the house! You come unwanted into my house beware :>)CONS:1) I do not have any cons. The only thing is pressing the tabs into the holes takes some time and effort. But it also gives you a very solid mouse trap too.CONCLUSSION:I really like these bucket traps and this is a good sturdy trap that works great.RATING SYSTEM:I review a lot of products because I know reading other peoples reviews are very helpful in selecting the right product. I saw a reviewer that gave a rating scale and I thought, "that is useful". When one is reviewing from underwear to air compressors having a way to tell you why I rate is important. Here is my rating scale:5 Stars: Excellent product, I highly recommend this product for anyone.4 Stars: Good product, but there are some quality, functionality, or design issues, but will still work well.3 Stars: Okay product, it will work for some people but not all people. It works but not great.2 Stars: Is not very functional. It might work in a very specialized situation, but don't count on it.1 Star: Trash. I can't see any useful purpose for the product.

Mouse trap
I have a bunch of different mouse traps around the house but this is one of my favorite ones. This is the first one I've had of this kind but so far I'm liking it. I've already caught quite a few mice in my pole barn and out in my shed with this thing and it works as a kill trap or a live trap if you want it. If you want to be alive trap all you got to do is toss some straw on the bottom maybe a couple pieces of food or a little water thing and keep them f****** alive either that or just leave it empty and then the cold and starvation will come home and you just let him keep falling in there until the damn thing is full and dump it. It's super duper simple to put together but it is kind of a pain in the ass if it's your first time. That whole entire top portion is actually three different pieces and you have to put your swinging door on there and then you still have to put the water together which is another two pieces. Now the water I'm kind of confused about because they actually have the bottom portion works together to be able to fall off going downwards which is where it is clipped on at and you would think they would have made the clip the other way around that way as the mouse is walking up it walks The wider more into place not starts to unlock it if you get a big old fat rat walking on there. Other than that I don't really see any manufacturers defects besides that if you got too heavy of a mouse on the ladder it can come apart. Other than that this thing is super duper simple you literally just assemble it put it on top of a 5 gallon bucket and you're ready to rock and roll. This thing arrived on time and very well packaged super simple and easy to put together and it's very affordable and very effective way of getting rid of a bunch of different mice without having to constantly reset traps I think those things are no brainer if you got a mouse problem out in a barn or something grab one of these toss it in the corner and just smear a boatload of peanut butter on a thing just leave it be

It works
One evening, my husband went to the garage and saw a little mouse/rat standing there in the middle of the floor. We don’t like the sticky traps that hurt the animals, so we looked for something that could catch the critter and release it in the wild. This bucket top seemed like a good solution. You just install it on top of one of your buckets that you have at home and put some food in it and the animal goes into it but can’t get out. And it worked! We caught the critter the first night we set it up. After just a few hours. The only thing is that the instructions were not easy to follow and the pieces while they are hard to snap together but my husband figured it out.

Quick and efficient
This Mouse Trap Bucket is a brilliant idea. The plastic top of the bucket was difficult to snap together and I was just about to toss it when I finally got it to click. Even with that problem, I still am giving this contraption 5 stars. We have only had it for three days and have caught 3 mice already. You don't have to worry about the mouse dragging the trap away and then you can't find it until it begins to smell - that happened to me in my attic. This product stays put, works efficiently and quietly, and I highly recommend it.
