AudioControl A1100.5 Altitude 1100 Watt RMS 5-Channel Car Audio Amplifier, Class D, Valet Mode, ParaBASS, High/Low Level Inputs, Crossover, Subsonic Filter, EV Compliant

This went in my 2018 Chevy Colorado Z71 with Bose.I used the PAC AP4-GM61 and the PAC APH-GM02 harness to bypass the Bose amp and get flat signal to run this amplifier.I am using the AUDIO remote turn on feature and it works fine.Replaced the front door and dash corners with Infinity Reference 6x9 components and the rear door with Infinity Reference 6.5 coaxial shallow mount.Subwoofers are the AudioControl 10” shallow 2ohm wired to 4ohm going into the amplifierHaven’t raised the level on the subwoofers yet because I’m breaking them in first, but once crossovers are set and gains adjusted properly, this amp performs superbly and sounds as good or better than the Bose amp with a lot more headroom.I will eventually get a helix or similar DSP to get the full range of the components, but honestly, I may upgrade them to the Kappa series to get more watts from the amp for an even richer sound. Perhaps change the subs to 4 ohm version so I can get them wired to two ohm load and get those watts as well.I haven’t run the valet wire to a switch just yet but do plan to as this was one of the features that caught my eye when deciding on this amp over the infinity 5 channel. I am very happy with this amplifier and the attention to detail and versatility it offers.

This amp is incredible! Huge upgrade from my previous amp

I got a five-channel car amplifier rated at 1100 watts RMS. I installed it in my 2018 Chevy Colorado Z71, which came with a Bose sound system. I used PAC harnesses to bypass the factory amplifier and get a clean signal for this unit. The amplifier has both high-level and low-level inputs, so it works with factory and aftermarket head units.I used the remote turn-on function. For speakers, I replaced the front door and dash speakers with Infinity Reference 6x9 components. The rear doors have Infinity Reference 6.5-inch shallow coaxials. My subwoofers are AudioControl 10-inch shallow models, wired to 4 ohms and connected to the sub channel of the amplifier.I am still breaking in the subwoofers, so I have not turned up their level yet. Once I set the crossovers and adjust the gains, the amplifier delivers clear sound with more headroom than the original Bose amp. The ParaBASS helps boost the low frequencies, giving the bass more dominance. The Linkwitz-Riley crossover allows me to control which frequencies go to each speaker, and the subsonic filter keeps unwanted low-end noise out of the subwoofers.The amplifier is well built, with a metal chassis for heat dissipation. It fits under the seat, but it is a bit larger than some other models.

Really good powerful amp! Easy to install! Kinda on the large side so make sure you have the room. As of yet no overheating.
