AOGE WIFI Security Camera,Compatible with Alexa Echo Show, Wireless Home 720P HD Indoor IP Camera with Free Cloud Storage(At least one month) for IOS, Android and Windows Device Remote View

It has been a few years since i last purchase an IP Camera, i had no idea how cameras have changed in terms of configuration, these newer cameras are very easy to install and setup via their cloud apps, however this raises my privacy concern, as it is going through their services. Unfortunately this camera is not for me, i do not want my privacy going through some cloud services, i like to manage my own cameras going through my connection settings and assigned ports and DDNS and configured via web based camera interface and router settings.This is ideal for others who just want something simple and works straight out the box without effort.

The camera works well so far. The only thing I had a problem with was registering my email address which it repeatedly said was not a valid email address when it was. I suspect the software was programmed without realising that hyphens can occur in the domain name (which is the case for my own main set of email addresses), or that full stops (or periods) can occur in the mailbox name. Both of these are not unusual and this problem should be addressed. Apart from that, it seems to do the job I wanted it to do reasonably well. I need to think more about the registered email address soon as I will be away in China for a while where accessing gmail mailboxes (which I was obliged to set up) can be problematic.

1. Wifi would only installed after initial wired setup with router. But once installed it works well.2. It would be great if recording was offered via sd card without having to pay a cloud subscription.Otherwise works well with push notification when audio or motion is detected and auto automatic recording on detection. It’s a 2 in one product as can double up as a security cam too.

You get what you pay for I guess. I use this as a doggy cam. I can see what he is doing when I leave. The motion sensor is very sensitive no matter what setting you put it in tho and the sound quality is pretty poor, you get a lot of feedback (although mine is no way near any other electronics).Unable to watch video playback when an SD card is installed because it doesn’t allow UK users to use the facility online. I also don’t have an SD card reader - so quite pointless putting a card in there.However it’s fine for what I need it for.

I honestly wish you could review with no stars as personally this product and seller does not deserve the one star I have had to give. Absolutely disgusted with the seller/company. My camera is no longer working after only 9 months. And when I have tried contacting them on multiple occasions, directly they have blanked my messages! I prefer to try and resolve issues away from reviews (give them a chance to rectify an issue). But I have been left with no other option but to do it through a review.When I first received the product I was not 100% happy but I had recently lost my husband and sorting this out wasn’t my priority, arranging his funeral was. I put up with the device as I required a baby cam. As previously stated, after only 9 months of using this product it stopped connecting to my WiFi. Now for a product that relies on WiFi this is a BIG issue. And no, my WiFi was not 5G at the time of stopping (I checked with my provider). (Yes the device does not support a connection of 5G so most people will no longer use this device.)I would constantly get notification say that sound or movement where detected, even when I was in the room and there was no noise and the camera was completely covered.Often, when I had put my baby to bed I would get a notification. And rather then disturbing them, I would check the app to see whether they actually needed me (one of the main uses of a baby cam). But when I would go on to view the camera, it would take a while to connect. More often than not it would take at least 2 minutes to load. Again this is not ideal when it’s being used as a baby monitor.It would regularly disconnect despite the WiFi working perfectly fine. Which obviously had an impact on trying to use the device as intended.Don’t get me wrong, if the device worked properly it would be perfect. But when, from my experience, it doesn’t seem to work. And when it does, it isn’t of great quality I cannot say that I would recommend this to anyone.If you want to use it as a baby monitor (like I wanted) I would recommend spending a little more money and get an actual baby monitor. Having had to get one anyway, they are by far so much easier.If you want to use it as CCTV/ burglar monitor. Again I would suggest doing a bit of research, spending a little more money and get something that would last a lifetime (if required).

I love this product honestly I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The set up I used the new app I don't know if it makes much of a difference but the set up was very very simple it took a matter of minutes and the additional benefit is that even when I unplug it and move it somewhere else its still set up unlike other cameras in the same price range I've used. The picture quality is great have the option of both HD and SD which is good if you want to check while using mobile data so you use less data. The sound quality is great and the ability to move the camera on the app is great just a tiny bit laggy but you get used to it after a few uses. The speaker is great for when you wanna talk through the app very loud. The only annoying thing is the motion and sound detection is very sensitive so you get notifications constantly which is good but I'm using it for pets so it gets a bit annoying.

Really good quality pictures, but I struggled with storage. Their ‘cloud’ service is expensive, and my micro SD card wouldn’t work, but I feel like this is so that you purchase their cloud service. Lengthy process to set up, but once working it’s fine. The VSmaHome app is ok too. No instructions included, other than app detail on the bottom of the device.
