***** Update: 6 months in with 3-5 workouts a week and these are still rockin' like day 1! *****I couldn't find reviews for this set of dumbbells online anywhere prior to purchasing, but I took a chance on them because I like the CAP brand, they look quite nice, and the price is very good for this amount of weight. I'm happy to say that I'm glad I took a chance on these instead of some no-name brand!Pros:- The weight selections are sequential from low to high. Some of the no-name brands I was considering had seemingly random weight orders (i.e if you want to go up 5 lbs, rotate 1 clockwise, but for 10 lbs, rotate 2 counterclockwise... which would be confusing and annoying).- The handles, when the dumbbells are docked in their holder, rotate easily but feel solid and click into place for each weight increment. When not docked, there is minimal play and they remain locked into place quite securely. I never feel like I'm holding anything but a normal dumbbell.- Regardless of how many plates you have loaded onto the handles, the dumbbells line up and slide into their base with ease. I haven't had any failed attempts where I had to lift back up and try again. Just good engineering all around.- The handles are smooth while having a nice texture, paradoxically giving a pretty good grip while not tearing up your palms (though I wear gloves for higher weights just because).Cons:- Not really the product's fault, but all adjustable dumbbells tend to be a bit wider than standard dumbbells. I haven't found this to be a huge problem, I just take care not to let them hit each other side-on for fear of breaking them.Other:- I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but I will be sure to update the review if there are any problems.

I bought two of these as an affordable option to have better dumbbells up to 55lbs. I have another brand of adjustable weights that only go to 25lbs. These are so much better. The easy weight change mechanism is quick and easy. They feel so much more solid than my other low cost set and they don't move and rattle excessively when I lift them. Because these go from 10 to 55 lbs with 5 lbs increments they are somewhat large/bulky, which is a little annoying. Also as everyone mentioned the plastic base could be better. Its not bad but will be a problem if they break. Overall though, for the price these appear to be well worth it. They may not be for a professional body builder, but for my at home gym I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

I have a few of CAP's gym products, so I felt very confident ordering these dumbbells (ordered 2). I was right in doing so, they are a good set. They feel very sturdy and click into their weight slot easily. I use them often. To top it off, they offer amazing customer service. One of the dumbbells gave me a problem where a weight would stay loose and dropped out while initially picking them up. It rarely happened and I suspect was caused during shipment (box was a bit banged up). Since it happened so infrequently, I just dealt with it, especially as it was at max weight and was noticeable right away. I learned how to pick it up and ensured it was always in place. Of Course it manifested itself again after Amazon's return period. I filed a warranty claim and they sent out a replacement part immediately.I would never expect their quality and customer service at this price point. Great Value.
