Wasp trap
It didn't catch anything :( but it's very sturdy and long rope to hang from a good height if needed.

Great for keeping wasps away!
I hate wasps and this does the job. Always catches loads. We take it on holiday with us too. Mixture is easy to make and works a charm! Worst thing is having to empty it (but I leave that to the hubby!!) If there are any wasps that aren’t dead yet when you’re emptying it just spray a bit of fly spray in there 👍

Wasp out, these are coming to get you.
Before buying I read through the reviews and spotted various reports of these being ineffective and others stating it worked wonders. So with the small price to pay, I took a leap of faith and thought I'd find out for myself.Upon opening, these had me on the fence. They stand about 6" tall, are very well made with a decent length of string attached for mounting. My trepidation was based round the large number of holes round each 'Hive' It seemed likely there were enough escape holes to render it useless.Next step was, set them up. Then I could finally set the record straight as to whether they work or not. So I put 2 teaspoons of icing sugar in each one, along with enough luke warm water to fill about 5mm below the bottom access holes. Warm water wasn't essential but helped in dissolving the sugar. When carrying them outside I did spill some contents out breather holes. Willing to accept that is me being cack handed more than anything else. Now I had to decide where to hang them up. Not to near the house or the kids garden toys. So I decide don a bird feeder stand at the bottom of the garden which seemed like the likely hotspot. Then the second one went on the fence at the other side near the bottom of the garden.Day 1 - Maybe 3 flies between the 2 trapsDay 2 - A few more flies and 2 wasps in the fence trap.Day 3 - The bird feeder hive is struggling. Maybe 10 flies and 2 wasps. The Fence feeder was more like speed dating for Wasps. It had 10-15 wasps along with roughly 20 flies. I didn't have the chance to empty them so it had to remain like that.Day 5 - I'm glad the holes are too small for bees and butterflies. My Icing sugar water had many friends. Bird Feeder now had 10 Wasps and 30 flies. The Fence trap however was a whole new level. I estimated I had between 30-40 Wasps in there with a enough flies to bake a cake. It was a massacre. Now on witnessing the carnage I had inflicted on the local insect population, I had to do a clean up. problem being, Wasps don't just hit sugar water and die. They get very angry and want revenge. There were enough live Wasps in each trap that I was not going in unarmed.1) Approached at night, when cooler.2) Used a head torch to see what I was doing but not enough to make it look like daylight to them.3) Contrary to the instructions on the tin, I sprayed Raid Fly and Wasp Killer in the entry holes. If even 10 Wasps were live, I'd have been in for a very unhappy Insect funeral if I let them loose during clean up.4) 15mins later, no motion in either trap, so emptied in to the bin, rinsed out and refilled with sugar water. The next round wasn't quite as impressive but it is getting nearer the end of the season. Probably exacerbated by my previous genocide anyway. Now onto my 3rd outing with the traps being 'armed'. It's been a week and still they are flocking to the proverbial. For less than £10, these are more than good value.Biggest tip is fill it with sweet water, make sure it sits where the sun can hit it and warm up. that is the only thing that makes me thing why the fence sited one it more effective. Also as Wasps tend to seek revenge for fallen friends. Don't empty too often, Wasp corpses seem to attract more looking for a fight to fall at the last hurdle.

Great at catching wasps
a great device, filled with warm water to melt a heaped table spoon of sugar. Caught plenty 30+ over one weekend and can now eat outside without the wasp disruption.

It takes a time for the wasps to fall for it
Ideal for most bugs especially wasps

Good trap overall, but watch for prison breaks
These are really simple to use and do a job. Hung both up after adding some sugar water and after confirming there were no leaks, hund them in the back garden. The strings to hang them are really long, so I tied a few knots to shorten it a bit so they hung higher up, but its good to know the excess is there if needed.Wasps get in with no issues and most dont get out but there are a few small flaws. As stated above, most wasps don't get out, however, they can. Having watched a few achieve this feat, I decided to just steer clear from the traps until evening when they are less active. The other flaw is i caught a couple of bees, which led to a socially distant early release for some inmates to allow our useful winged friends the freedom they deserve.Having said that, they keep the wasps away from us when out in the garden, so a few escapees is less of a concern. There are probably better models out there, but for the price, these are good.
