Great Kettle!
This kettle has lived up to my expectations in terms of look and performance. It has a lovely glossy finish which is what I was after and I like the flip top lid feature and it boils the water quickly. It is not heavy and is easy to handle so all in all I am happy with this kettle and its performance.

Great product
Love it! As other people have stated, it's fairly thin plastic and does get hot, but unless you have a vulnerable person, I don't see a problem with it. A good side effect of that is that it's a very light kettle. The colour is gorgeous and just what I wanted. The spout is also really good - it pours very well. The gauge is slightly hard to read as it's behind the handle, rather than on the side, but that's just something to get used to.

The filter spout keeps falling out
Great kettle. Nice and fast. Has a light indicator when switched on. Only thing is the filter spout keeps coming away and is very fiddly to put back. It is value for money and the color stands out bh

Perfect!
I can’t yet speak for the longevity of this. But I love it. It’s pretty, has a very pleasant pour, isn’t too loud and does the job you’d expect of a kettle perfectly. I only wish I could also have this in the yellow and green - but alas, I only have the one kitchen haha!

Spot on pourer/not the quietest
~ 1.7L~ 3000W~ 3 year guarantee: 2 years (+1 year online), details as per the instruction booklet included with the kettle~ EDEN/Ref: 27363~ LEMONNeatly boxed and exactly as currently pictured in the stock images above, the plastic-type kettle is indeed lemon, contrasted with a polished silver coloured finish & white cable/plug.It is fresh looking, if a touch Nigella!SIZE: (all on my measure):~ On its base, it stands 25.25 cm tall~ The base diameter is 15.5 cm~ Width, including the handle: roughly 22 cm‘Russell Hobbs’ is subdued in white lettering to one side of the lightly textured body. The push-down on/off switch is just below the nicely curved, large handle and glows blue when the kettle is on. The push-in lid opener button is towards the top of the handle and raises said lid to a better than average angle for filling. Before using for the first time, the instructions state:~ 'Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this twice to remove any manufacturing dust, etc.’Following those instructions, I found that the initial plasticky odour had disappeared and did not taint my first cuppa, as can often be the case with new jug kettles.Compared to my oldie, it is practically the same in terms of weight, noise & speed. It does not shake, rattle & roll when it gets to the boil, but does linger longer before switching itself off.If you interrupt the boil, it does not carry on automatically when the kettle is returned. The body gets very hot, as you would expect. The cable length is (5 cm) shorter at around 70 cm, not including the UK plug. The cable tidy slot on the base is tight. On the negative side to O.H., the water level gauge is behind the handle, but it is not something I look at very often (I use mugs or a measuring jug), so is not a problem to me. However, I am worried that the silver coloured contrast will dull with use. I am already buffing the lid & handle up after each use!The aforementioned instruction booklet (English only) includes ‘Care & Maintenance’, the ‘Boil Dry Protection’ + how to remove the gauze filter for cleaning (inside, behind the spout).Would I have paid a penny short of fifty pounds for this kettle?Absolutely NOT, but I am well pleased at less than half that!So much so, I have since also bought the raspberry version for a special person in my life!Any problems, I will be back!
