Younger 39 inch Super Bodyboard with IXPE Deck, Perfect Surfing

The YOUNGER 39 inch Super Bodyboard with IXPE deck was provided for review and it is a well made body board that should handle all the waves you can throw at it.At 39" this board is ideally suited for someone 5' 3"-5' 6"/85-130 lbs. Ideally a bodyboard should reach up to about your belly button when stood on the floor, this makes it about the same as the distance between your chin and the top of your knees which is how you will ride the board.Since your legs will drag if the board is too short, you want to aim for a board that keeps them out of the water. Depending on the wave conditions, you can ride smaller boards in larger waves.A combined 2" thickness comes from laminated layers of an irradiation cross-linked polyethylene foam (IXPE) deck, an expanded polystyrene (EPS) core and a high density polyethylene (HDPE) "slick" on the bottom of the board. The heat lamination process used appears to be strong and durable while keeping the board lightweight at only 1.75lbs.The Younger Super Bodyboard has good rigidity and overall strength while still allowing a reasonable amount of flexibility and shock absorption. The overall shape balances ease of riding and performance. With an 11" wide head, 19.5" wide body and a 16" crescent tail the board shape provides both good speed and maneuverability. The 60/40 rail/chine is good for all around control with low resistance. Finally the HDPE slick bottom with dual 2.5"wide x10" exit channels enhances flow with low resistance while maintaining maneuverability.While this board is sized for the primary riders, my kids, at 6' tall and over 200lbs, even riding light waves on the East Coast, I am able to borrow this board and still enjoy the ride.

Fell apart after one day!Right side rail foam where your hand would be became delaminated after one use at Zuma Beach not to mention the included leash also broke. I could try to fix it with super glue but it would probably happen again. I should’ve bought a better brand!I knew this would be a starter board for my son but very disappointed!

This is the second Younger 39 inch bodyboard we've bought, since the first one worked out so well. After numerous outings, they're both still in great condition. They're a great size for my 10-year-old son, teenage daughter, and myself to all be comfortable using (we range from 58" to 69" tall).

I have 6 of these boards. They work great. The only complaint that I have is the plastic piece that holds the leash to the board broke. I have only used this board 1 time. If someone could please let me know how to get a new plastic piece to hold the leash to the board that would be great! Otherwise the board is useless to me & a waste of money. We would lose this board in the Gulf/Ocean without the leash. The other boards have held up well over the past 2 years & the kids & adults love them!

Bought this for my daughter, I bought it 3 sizes bigger than what is recommended. Figured she would grow into it my next summer. She has wiped out plenty on this to include being bloodied up and chipped tooth. The board is still in good shape. Seems sturdy enough lasted whole summer and sure it will last next year as well.

The surfing board is about 2 inch thick and is very sturdy. The size perfect for an adult.I personally like the pattern designed. There is a robe connected to the board, which can be held by hand when surfing.If you have your own swimming pool, I am sure kids will love to use it for fun.The downside is that you cannot check it as a normall luggage when taking flight. (39")

The board arrived arrived when I expected it to be delivered. I bought this board for my 10 year old niece who is 4'11" and she used it during our week-long vacation at the beach. When I asked her to rate it, she gave the board two thumbs up! We were at the beach every day all day riding waves with the boogie board and it held up beautifully.

Research the size that you need—it makes a big difference! This was a great board for our beach vacation. Not too expensive, but worked perfectly for the week we used it.
