Fifth time ordering. It's just brilliant.
First, let me say, I'm a sceptic of reviews, and anything that seems too good, so I wasn't certain this product was worth the money. That being said, I did buy and install it, so here is my take.I moved into a house of horrors recently, one of which was the lounge. We just couldn't heat it. It's fairly large, about 5m X 3.5M. The fire is electric, but we don't want to use it as it's very expensive to run, so we got a big radiator installed. Still, i had to wear my giant bathrobe over my clothes to sit and watch TV, and even then my nose and fingers would be freezing.I deduced that the ceiling being so big was causing heat loss, so thought it might be ok to insulate under the second storey bedroom floor. Looking online, I came across this product and had to check it out, as I thought it might work on our lounge ceiling, eliminating the need to rave up the bedroom carpet. I was particularly intrigued at the lack of bad reviews, especially with so many overall. I decided it couldn't possibly hurt, so I bought a roll.First impressions straight from the box was how heavy the roll was. I felt a little cautious and was concerned it seemed too thin, and the edges looked slightly crushed, but we needed to start warming this damp, cold space, so we cracked on.I PVA bonded the ceiling, and then with my husband's help, applied the wallrock. The first piece was very troublesome. I thought I'd added more than enough glue, but it wouldn't stay. If I let go one end, it would fall down while I tried to help my husband stick the other. This resolved itself after over-egging the glue. The rest was easy enough with two of us.Advice for installing: put so much glue up that you think you've gone way overboard, especially if it's warm or your heating is running. Also, align carefully, you won't be able to slide it around to adjust the position.Cut it with sharp scissors, or be prepared to change blades as often as a carpet fitter: every second or third cut.To add to a ceiling, you're going to need help, its own weight pulls it down!Make templates for cutting round ceiling roses or PIR sensors.Measure carefully.I was excited for some cold weather to see how this stuff performed. On the first cold day, the room warmed up within fifteen minutes of turning on the heating. The claim of reduced warming times was quickly verified. However, I was concerned as it dropped again quickly, so I thought maybe it doesn't hold the heat well. However, the next morning I discovered an incredible draught coming from the electric fire's heating grill. I taped some offcut wallrock over it. This has resulted in a huge success! We're sitting in the lounge on the coldest night we've had in a while, and it's really cosy. You can feel the temperature drop when you walk into the hallway. It's now the warmest room in the whole house! After these results, we have decided we're going to purchase more whenever we can afford to, and do all the ceilings and outside walls. If you're at all unsure, I can vouch for this stuff one hundred percent. Don't hesitate, it absolutely works. I'm still amazed at the difference. I'll be ordering one roll per month till all my ceilings and outside walls are done.Update: I've now bought 5 of these rolls. This stuff has, without question, saved my house. I don't know which room we'd be able to use comfortably without it, now the weather has turned cold. I've now done all the outside walls except my kitchen. I've done three ceilings, including hall, stairs and landing. My boiler was previously working overtime to keep the house at 19C. Now it quietly clicks on for twenty minutes max, then rests.I was worried about the dining room. It's been icy cold in there recently. I put it down to the open plan adjoining conservatory. However, today I put the KV600 on the outside wall. We came home a few moments ago and walked in to the room, and scared my partner with an involuntary OMG!!! It was toasty and cosy. I've thrown tens of thousands at this house since January. I can honestly say this stuff is my happiest purchase, the most valued improvement.

Great Product
Am confident that this product will reduce heat loss on one wall. Not easy to put up on your own as it is heavy and 1 metre wide........but that means fewer drops. Paste the wall generously, which is much easier. Not easy to cut around switches, for example but the effort is worth it. This can be painted or covered with wall paper to finish.

Hard work
Good quality, does the job but difficult to work with due to the size and thickness of the wallpaper. It's also quite hard to bend, I'm talking about the edges. It was quite hard to cut, even with the sizors so I would advice to get a proper one. Sharp and stable otherwise you won't be able to cut properly. You can also forget about using a stinlein knives. It will also require two people to put it up.The walls feels warmer to the touch. However the true test would will take place at the winter time.

Amazing solution
I was pretty sceptical about using this option to insulate my bedroom, but after my contractor suggested it as best solution as my budget wasn’t enough for full insulation structure built.I am glad I have purchased this product the change of air and the way it keeps heat in the room is incredible. I would recommend this product if you need insulate colder walls, it worked magic on my 70s built in combination with new flooring relay and insulation.Overall I am super happy and recommend it.Please keep in mind this product ideally requires two people to apply, someone who is knowledgable and experience in decorating as it needs tools to cut and apply correctly.

Brilliant product
Short term results - Was difficult to cut but 100% does the job it is suppose to do. Used this for a small room which has 2 outside walls which usually get very cold and moist. This paper seems to have not only kept the room warm but also stopped any moisture. Was worried about the cost but worth every penny.

Good product in right circumstances but can make damp spread to elsewhere if not the right for you
It is a good product but if you have a serious damp or dry rot issue it can cause further problems. We have an issue with black mould under our bedroom window so I bought this. After a year the damp under the thermal wall paper had moved downwards and has made our skirting boards completely rotten is some places and mushrooms have grown behind them. Update: we ended up having to spend 10.5k to fix damp rot! Obviously not the fault of the wallpaper - just make sure you don't have a more serious problem.

Well worth the trouble of putting it up
We used this on the outer walls of a house which has no cavity walls. We had previously used polystyrene under the wallpaper. The wallrock was much easier to put up, it didn't tear, but it does really need 2 people to do it. It is pretty heavy. It is not that easy to cut. It seemed to blunt Stanley knives, and we found strong Taylor's scissors the best thing to use. We didn't use nearly as much paste as was recommended, not by design, we just had a lot left over. It dried fairly quickly but there were small gaps between the strips which we filled with plaster. We papered over the wallrock, using a Graham's and Brown paste the wall, straight onto the wallrock. The joins in the wallrock do not show through. The room does feel warmer and the surface is tough, and pressing on it leaves no marks. We intend using it again for another room.

Good... I guess
My living has two outside walls one of which is a solid wall so I've decided to try and insulate it internally before the external insulation. I have used the KV600 for outer walls and the less thicker one for one internal wall. It was a bit of a pain to hang it in two people, especially when the walls and ceiling are not straight. Going around the corners by the window was a pain and it didn't hold all the way through, even though I used plenty of adhesive. You can still tell where the walls weren't straight and I had a bit of plaster chipped off. I should have smoothen it before hanging the wallrock...One 10kg bucket was enough for two rolls. It's still too early to say anything about the efficacy... I hope it's worth the cost and effort.
