Been using regular chili powder for years. Never knew to make my Indian dishes I needed a specific one to be "authentic." Flavor is good. Quality is good.

I only learned about this type of pepper recently when I was studying recipes for foods from India and Thailand. This type of pepper popped up twice on recipes that I thought would be excellent recipes to try. Because I grow my own southwestern and Mexican peppers as well as my own basil from multiple varieties (Italy, Africa, Thailand), I definitely know that sometimes the very special experience of a specific recipe is something as small as a single ingredient. So I knew I had to buy this. I have been delighted! Not only do I use it in the recipes I bought it for, I have also used it on things like scrambled eggs, adding a pinch to a sandwich, using it with pasta and tomato sauce, and even dropping some in a lemonade. I can tell you that the friends and family that I’ve cooked for and shared this with even in simple things like pasta have really remarked upon how it has an extra added flair. This pepper is not too hot, but the heat it does have is very short-lived compared to the heat other peppers. It gives way to a very sweet and smoky experience that really is difficult to describe and is exactly why you should buy it and try it.

This is a vivid red, delicious chili powder. Great flavor, freshness and high quality. But it is not “low heat” by American taste. So be warned. It would be comparable to a good spicy Cayenne. But it far surpasses cayenne with a tangy sweet pepper taste. We love it! But be mindful it’s no push over in the heat dept!

Kashmiri pepper is a treat. Lots of flavor. Just a mild kick. Smells so good. Honestly adding to my basic chili, from a girl who grew up a Stagg, thats sayin’ something.

I have so many exotic spices, I read a recipe - think wow, that sounds good. and order the spice from Amazon. I sure don't cook like ma Mama! Le pot est bien scellé au moyen d'un opercule facile à retirer L'opercule conserve la fraîcheur du produit. Goût très piquant pour les personnes qui ne sont pas habitués à la nourriture indienne. Dans mon cas, j'ai été initié dès l'âge de 5 ans aux piments piquants et j'estime que le piquant est vraiment prononcé. Je recommande donc de l'utiliser avec parcimonie au début pour éviter de se brûler la langue.
