This machine functioned more as a child's toy than anything else

Makes real peanut butter; motor seems solid , but parts, except the grinding wheel are plastic. this is not a commercial product it wont stand up to mass production of PB&Js.peanuts should be slightly crushed before grinding: i put a handful of peanuts on a wooden cutting board and crush them with a metal spatula for a minute... then into the hopper. it's noisey and larger pieces may flt up.. u need to stiir the hopper to keep peanut pieces going into the crusher.i just hold my bread under the output and turn the bread around and out comes real peanut butter from real peanuts ... i like it!there is an adjustment for smooth or crunchy, but it doesn't do much except confuse me during assembly...Assembly is easy once you see how the parts fit but be careful since it is mostly plastic.if you give this to the kids, i think they will break it in not too long. that said I've had mine for months:on average i make less than one, (1) peanut butter sandwich a day so that's a light load.i like it!
