This is a nice, thick plastic tablecloth cover that protects the table very well. It is thick enough not to be easily damaged, repels liquids, protects from spills, is super easy to clean, and looks great.Just to respond to other comments I have read:This is plastic, you can not put a hot pan on it. It is plastic, it will melt. Use a trivet.It comes folded and the folds will flatten out, but still be visible. If you are that obsessive that you have to have it perfectly flat, then don't bother using any plastic covers that come folded.Yes it smells like plastic when you first put it on the table. The smell is strong, but it diminishes quickly and is gone in a day.

Believe it or not, I bought 2 of these wonderful tablecloth protectors to cover/protect two of my area rugs for the next couple of months. They are good quality, very clear and see-through, and I am thrilled with them. I bought them large enough to I could tuck under on two ends to keep them in place. I walk on them all the time. So much easier than the carpet protector runners that I was using, since those come in only narrow sizes, and I had to lay them side by side and they moved around all the time. These are so nice that I am not even remotely hesitant to have people over....not embarrassed that they are on my rugs! They exceeded my expectations. Matter of fact, I am going to order two more. Thank you for an excellent product.

I was super impressed with this item when I first opened it. The thickness of the vinyl is perfect, thick but flexible, not too hard or stiff. The seam at the edges help give it some weight to keep it hanging properly across the table.Unfortunately, the plastic pool smell was SO intense I had to take it off and put it outside, then open all the doors in the house to get the smell out. it was giving us sore throats it was so strong. I was hoping airing it out, outside on a windy day for a while would help, but it didn't.I ended up giving it to my mother so she could use it on her outdoor tables since it's no way going to work in my home. Super bummed.

This is a simple, not fancy clear vinyl table cloth. We have a beautiful natural wood table and it is nice to be able to see the wood grain, without danger from water marks. It is slightly reminiscent of the plastic furniture covers of the 50's... but ... my table is safe, so I am ok with it. It's not super thick, but it is very clear - and thick enough if you're a little careful with sharp stuff.. If you want to smooth out a few of the creases you can put in your dryer on low for 3 minutes or so... put it on the table while it's warm (not hot). There may still be a few small creases, but they smooth over time. The edges of the table cloth are sewn with white thread. Honestly, I came back and ordered 2 more for backups - once torn they are sort of useless as table protection... but then my sister takes them and uses them as paint protectors with her little charges. Use and reuse! I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Size of table was odd so bought a large one and cut it in half. Great fit! Now I have a backup! Have washed in the machine and dried lightly and looks good as new! Really protect my wood surface!

This gave off a Strong chemical smell for about a week. This is delivered folded into a rectangle and the crease lines did not total go away after two weeks. I found a local Chinese houseware store on 86 street in Brooklyn that sells this on the roll. Bought 3 yards, no creases and very little chemical smell, slightly heavy mil for 15 bucks. If you do not have a local vendor that sells this on a roll, then this product is better than nothing.

It’s perfect! Exactly what I needed to protect my table cloth. I have already done a few projects on it with my kids; the mess was easy to clean off. When I first got it, I wanted to remove the creased lines so I soaked a rag, threw that, along with this clear plastic sheet into the dryer. I ran it on the lowest heat setting (delicate) and every 30 seconds I checked it. I waited until it got warm and soft and immediately placed it on the table. If you let it run too long it can melt. Another thing, once it is removed from the dryer, don’t wait too long to spread it out, it will cool off fast and become very wrinkled. Mine is not completely wrinkled free, but it’s better than when I first got it.
