Generic 006104 RJ45 CAT5 Crystal Network Modular Connector Plug 8P8C, 50 Pieces

Be careful when purchasing these because the exact product you get can vary in quality depending on the source and seller. I paid a little less that $5 for the 50 pieces and they have been working very well for me. I've noticed that the current seller is selling 50 for about $2.50. Although this is quite cheap, I suspect you will pay in the lack of quality at that price point. Judging by the seller's name, it's quite clear that these cheap RJ45 terminators are coming out of China.The pack I received has crimped perfectly every time and fits snugly and solidly in the receiving end. If I could guarantee that you received the same pieces as I did, I'd definitely recommend them, but I know that that's unlikely so my recommendation is to pay close attention to what exactly you're buying. If it seems too good to be true, then it likely is and you'll probably get very cheaply made terminals. If you are careful not to go too cheap, then you should be ok.

Got them to work with this cable:  Rosewill 100-Feet Cat 6A Black Color Screened Shielded Twist Pairing Enhanced 550MHz Network Ethernet Cables (RCNC-12008) . I basically ordered 1 100-foot cable and chopped them up into smaller cables. Used these RJ45 connectors for the cut ends and they worked well. Although they are labelled Cat5 they worked well with the Cat6a cable and I got speeds up to 900Mbps on a 1Gbps internet connection. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the wires in just right and all the way in, but it does work once you get the hang of it.

We recently built the house we are living in and although the house was wired with cat5e, the builder only wired the jacks to be phone lines (i.e., only used 2 of the 8 connections within the cat5e cable. Does anyone still use land lines? :)I decided to fix this and redo all of these jacks in the house to ethernet lines. I spent a couple hours one night watching some YouTube videos and was ready to go. I have learned more about punch downs, cable testers, switches, etc than I ever wanted to, but I just finished my project. These connectors worked perfectly!

Bought a bag of these to fix my cables and fair warning, TEST them in your computer slot first and make sure the one you're going to use is a tight fit. A few in my bag were duds. Still not bad for the price but presort them before you go to the trouble of putting onto your cable.

As some others have said, the clips get bent down too far and thus, will not actually *click* securely HOWEVER, it's easily fixed by pulling them back up if and when that happens. These are pretty durable and well worth the money. One star off for having to adjust the clips after crimping but otherwise, you won't be sorry with this purchase.

I have used about half of them, and have only had to redo a couple of the connections, but that seems to be about the norm for about any connector I have used. They have all been used with solid wire.

Plugs are good, great price and decent quality. Some plugs wont fully puncture the wire but at this price you can just cut off the plug and replaceit. The plugs have guides which helps the Ethernet strands glide in. very good product. I will be buying more.

They worked well for me, I just needed to terminate the network cables in my new home, and this did the job. you can clearly see the wire colors through the connectors. and you can see the copper through the tip of the rj-45, that is how I have always terminated cables, I've never used the rj-45's which allow the copper through the tips. I'm not sure how well these will do at an enterprise level, but they are great for home use, and very affordable.
